I received an invitation to apply for parent sponsorship.
As it stands right now, I have met the MNI for 2015-2017 but we are expecting another child.

I noticed that the income requirement must be maintained during application processing.
If the child is born in 2019, does that mean the MNI cut-off will increase for 2015-2018 and future years?

Thank you!

Your income for 2015, 2016, 2017, will just be based on your family size at time you submit the app in 2018. So if child is not born yet, they are not counted in family size for previous years. This will not change.

If child is born in 2019, then your family size will increase +1, and you must meet increased LICO amount (around $10K higher) only starting in 2019 (or tax year child is born in) only. Not for the original 3 previous years at time of app.
