I guess the maximum points for speaking is from 7.5 to 9. I have to improve in listening and writing to get 435 maximum.
Yup, you are right. My bad. It's listening where you already have 8.0. but do check on writing, I think 7.5+ will give u another 3 points. Please cross check in crs tool. If CIC decides not to go below 440, may be 430+ score can get you oinp. Good luck

good luck with your Pr man, but at the other note, can you share with us about the realistic scenario in US? I heard almost all H1B are trying for EE PR, is it true? Pls share a little information regarding what is actually running on inside the H1B people and their endeavor for shifting to Canada?
I don't think so. In fact I'd say less than 20% of the people are trying. Having said that, IELTS test dates are booked through June.

I am one of the H1B people, so I can give you a little bit of insight:

Typically any H1b visa needs to be extended every 2 or 3 years. The extension process can take from 2 months to 8 months usually for approval. Nowadays due to increased scrutiny, when the extension application is pending for approval, everybody gets the idea to apply for canada due to anxiety from the wait. some of them get started by writing ielts (without knowing other details like an ECA is needed), may be they do a few more steps but usually once the extension comes and they are good for another 3 years, they forget about Canada. Only a few who felt the stress was too much or who think they may not be able to get permanent status seriously move further with the process

Yup. It s pretty much like that.

Looking at the crs calculator, the following seems to be true.

Assuming no current or previous ties with Canada, no french skills, no pnp nomination, a single person with masters degree, the max an H1b can get to is 481.

For such a married person, assuming spouse also has masters degree and no ties with Canada and no french skills, the max they can get to is 484.

Thanks for your insight. Honestly I think honorable Trump is not that dumb to let qualified people who is running their country with their talent to leave for Canada that easily. They will eventually get their H1B extended but what will happen is a total mayhem among everyone with an increasing applicant numbers for Canada.

What will happen is many US people with very high total getting ITA and never genuinely live or move out to Canada and even if they do, they would not be staying there after getting passport. The only adversely affected people in this scenario will be the people from the other countries who desperately need to move out to Canada and live there in real without moving out from there in the long run. And also Canada will temporarily suffer if they get fleeting migrants who never wanted to move to Canada in the first place and are only thinking about the migration cause of some external unavoidable force. I am not saying everyone will do the same but yes a prominent portion will and that's definite.....
The wait times for PR / green card in US are very high for Indian citizens (Right now applications from Dec 2008 are being processed for master degree holders). It might not be in companies' or US interest to clear these backlogs when people are willing to just stay on h1bs. People may recognize this and just try to hold the Canadian PR now when they are relatively young. Also, add to the fact that there is immense pressure to remove work authorization of H1b spouses - there is a decision coming out on this in June. Not all H1b spouses have work authorization - only whose green card application has advanced to a particular stage.

You never know...CRS scores that can suddenly increase by 18 points can also drop by 18 points from one round as well...It will definitely drop and everyone knows that...I think it will even reach 420's or mid 410's.
May that be true !!! ;)

Having said that, the ones with GC application may tend to above 30 but not sure. So they might not be as high on the CRS score. H1b spouse work authorization has only been given to around 100k or so people. In any case, uncertainty has risen in the minds of immigrants after the new president assumed office.
