Dear All,

Greetings,

I'm new to this forum. I'm a foreign national who works in Qatar last 5 years and my wife is living with me on family resident permit .Recently we have applied visitor visa to Canada however i got the refusals confirmation via email with following reasons

Grounds for refusal:

  1. Your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence- My sister and Brother Law is living in Canada and i have shown the birth certificate for ties proof. Please note that i don't have any blood relation in my county however my wife has and mentioned in the family form.
  2. Your immigration status- Currently I'm working in Qatar hence i have shared our RP since we both have plan to travel together
  3. family ties in Canada and in country of residence- (Does this repeated erroneously or does this means anything newly)
  4. immigration status in country of residence- Does this repeated erroneously or does this means anything newly)
Furtherly

Applied on : 11th of March
Decision email dated on : 18th of march
High commission location : Abu dhabi

I still didn't receive our passport yet (19 to now) and i have submitted all the necessary documents such as

Asset proof in wife's name
My salary slip for 06 month
Employer letter
contract
ticket
invitation from my sister and brother in law.
Invitee's passport details
their deed documents in Canada for living proof.

After all those document they has refused me which is annoying. Can anybody help me to understand the real truth behind this? what is the way forward to make this success?

your valuable comments are more helpful for me to understand further to proceed.

Thanks in advance!

IRCC has concerns that with your wife traveling with you (and no immediate, dependent family member in Qatar), you are likely to overstay your visit.

You are a temporary worker in Qatar. It is not your home country to which you would possibly have the strongest ties.

Isn't there only one checkbox for this reason on the TRV refusal letter?

Based on the list you've posted, IMO, you haven't really proved that you have strong reasons to return to Qatar.

1. What was the reason for your visit + how long did you want to visit?
2. When does your residence permit + your work contract expire?
3. Have you traveled to other visa-required countries?
4. Do you own any assets/financial investments in your home country?
5. You must prove your ties to both Qatar + to your home country? For example: Employment (you haven't submitted some documents) + lease agreement in Qatar + financial investments/assets + property ownership and its valuation (in your home country?) + if you have dependent family in your home country, etc

1. I'm going for my mother's one year death rituals which is on coming months. For the same i have provided the death certificate and she died in last year. I have tried alone last year and so many things they said for rejection and i haven't nailed it with the proper documentation because of my traumatic situation.

2. I'm on a permanent contract which doesn't have expiry and my resident permit expire on 2022.

3. Yes i have traveled UK, India and Malaysia. Still my UK visa with in the validity period.

4. From My wife side we have shown the property deep and family ties since i don't have anyone in my home country. However i have show the banks balance in the Qatar for 6 months.

5. I have shared my employer's letter along with the contract, Family ties through wife's side and her property ownership.

Q. Isn't there only one checkbox for this reason on the TRV refusal letter?
So far i didn't receive any hard copies to my hand. just drop those reasons which i have got via email by saying "Decision letter"
