When did they originally receive your application (i.e. how long has it been in the works now)?Have also read that MP has their own people to call. Not sure if they get any more info though
Our app was received March 29When did they originally receive your application (i.e. how long has it been in the works now)?
Three weeks from when you sent the docs is (for CIC) not a long time at all I am afraid. They may start looking at them in the next couple of weeks.
One year is a fair while for sure, but the fact that you only sent additional documents on 1st March means probably another 6 weeks or so before you see further movement. Our app was received March 29
Going to our MP tomorrow, she told us to get in touch with her the week of March 20. Ordered gcms notes jan 15. Still have not received them...One year is a fair while for sure, but the fact that you only sent additional documents on 1st March means probably another 6 weeks or so before you see further movement.
If you see no progress after that, then might be worth involving the MP for the area in Canada you plan to move to. Sure, all they do is get their staff to write CIC a letter which they sign asking what is going on, but it is amazing how soon after getting such a letter that things start to move - probably just a coincidence I am sure :-o .
Would also be worth ordering your case notes now to see what they have on them.
