Hello seniors,

Can you please send me the link where I can find all details to apply for open work permit for the spouse of International student?
(In terms of what are the specific documents)

Also,is there a fund requirement when we plan to initiate from Delhi where spouse is already on student visa in Canada?

Thank you.

Hello,

I am willing to apply for an open work permit within Canada.

I have multiple entry visitor visa valid till 2025
Education Qualification : Masters in Computer Science NOC 2172;
Experience: 5 years
My Brother is a Permanent Resident of Canada, working with a reputed Financial organization since past 8 months.
my Age is 28 years.

Am I eligible to apply for Open Work Permit within Canada as a Visitor from India while I am in canada?
during this time i will be visiting Canada for 2 months duration and staying along with my brother.

Request you to reply my query.

No.

Thanks for your reply. Is there any other option to get an Open work permit while I am on visitor visa in Canada?

Again, no.

If you want to work, you'll need to find an employer willing to offer you a full time job. That employer will then need to obtain an approved LMIA. If the LMIA is approved, you would then be able to apply for a closed work permit.

This might be another silly question for you but,

Can I go to Canada on visitors visa, apply for Student visa for a course of 6 months or 1 year,
will I be then eligible to work in Canada or apply for work permit in Canada?

Will I have to give Ielts while applying for Student visa?

You must complete a program that is full time and at least 8 months long to qualify for a post graduate work permit afterwards. If you want to go the study permit route - apply from your home country. Do not do it as a visitor to Canada. To be approved, you must demonstrate strong ties to your home country and show you have no plans on remaining in Canada long term - obviously hard to do this if you are already in Canada. Also, you the studies you plan to take in Canada must make sense in light of your previous education and work experience - and you must show you have sufficient funds to pay for your tuition and living expenses.

Ok thanks
