Yeah but dnt know how long will it take cz its been 2 months now.
Hello,

CIC received my application on June 2017.I am inland applicant and applied for Permanent Residency through Paper based process (Provincial Nominee Program). I have a doubt regarding medicals. I heard that we can't do up-front medicals anymore for the paper based applicants after December 2016. Is that true? Can I do up-front medicals or else Do I need to wait for the medical request Email from the CIC.

That is not true, unless the clinic is not willing to do upfront medical for you(this might happen when a clinic has too many patients book the appointment for medical examination), you can still do upfront medical for paper based PNP application.

Keep in mind that if you want to do upfront medical, better do it at least 3 month ahead of estimated MR date. One of my client did that last month, his MR came the second day after the upfront medical. Now we called CIC to link his medical result to his application already but his CIC portal status hasn't changed yet, it seems like his application might be prolonged inadvertently when doing upfront medical too close to MR time frame.

Thanks for the information. CIC received my application on June 14 2017 so I would say I will get medical request in the month June 2018. I am planning to do up-front on April 13. It would be fine right .

If use CSE system, it will take 3 to 10 days to get a reply.

But if you call them, they can link it within a day. In my client's case, we called CIC to link it and they confirmed it's now linked. But in his portal, status still hasn't changed(still MR).

Please be aware that some CIC operators obviously don't know what they are doing. It took us second call to find a CSR who knows how to link the medical to application. The fisrt CSR keep telling me to write a letter to Sydney to link them. How stupid.

Hi,

So, anyone from April's INLAND applicant (submit to Sydney) got medical exam request yet?
I heard applicant for end of March got medical exam request yesterday from CIC.

If you do, please share your timeline please.

Thanks,
