Immigration never received my application

I got this email this morning from CIC - We verified the information you provided and were not able to locate the application sent to the Case Processing Centre, in Vegreville, Alberta.

I sent my application 8 months ago, and I never got tracking on the mail so now I have no idea what to do I'm completely stuck? I'm not worried that I've overstayed..

If Vegreville can't find the application after 8 months - then I think it's safe to assume they never received your application

Canada does not issue bans simply because you've overstayed.

You would need to be under a deportation order or be issued an exclusion order to fall under any sort of ban.

If you are now out of status in Canada and it's over 90 days since you've fallen out of status, then you should leave at your earliest opportunity to avoid ending up in a situation where you are either excluded or deported.

I was supposed to leave May 10th 2017 if i didn't apply for the restoration, but I did apply.. They said they didn't receive my forms and I cannot prove this because I have no mail tracking. I'm leaving in a couple of weeks!

Do they mail you an order to leave the country? How does it work? Im unsure if they even know I've overstayed..
