Hi there,

I would like to know more about your experience

1) I mean do you live in BC (town or city) or overseas?
2) Did you find any employer in BC, submitted any support letter from your employer?
3) Your hourly wage?
4) Work experience?
5) Your score details or score breakdown?
6) Did you receive a call from BC PNP office or your employer (if any)?
7) Do you have an Express Entry profile?
8) Do you have Canadian Equivalency from ECAS or WES or any other organization?
9) Have you submitted yourself or via consultant?

Please answer them and thanks

My husband and I have gone through this process, we did it ourselves.

We applied from the UK, with a job offer (for my husband) from a Canadian company. He actually already works for this employer in the UK so they just had to submit something (I can't remember if it was a letter or form?) to confirm the job offer, what NOC code etc. it fell under. We went the EE route, so we registered for EE first and then included the EE application number in our PNP application. We completed IELTS and WES evaluations before we applied for the tech pilot but I'm not sure we needed them at this stage - we did need them for PR though.

We got our PNP invitation to apply within 4 days of submitting the initial registration, and then our application was processed in I think under 2 weeks, giving us our nomination to apply for PR through Express Entry. We were invited to apply for PR at the next round of invites.

My husband has 10+ years experience in the tech/IT industry, he doesn't have an undergraduate degree but does have some higher education and job relevant certifications.

Hi Siem, I am still waiting.
I asked my employer to send them an email and we got an answer: they said that my case has been assigned the day after the application submission (for me the 22nd of January), that is true because I saw the status changed to "In process", and that it will be processed quicker than others because it falls into the tech pilot. However, they told us, that it might still fall under the 2-3 months of processing time of other PNP programs.
Anyway, I will update you if something changes. Please do the same.
Have a nice day and good luck.

Thanks for your reply. 2 - 3 months is not what I hoped for but I think there's northing we can do to make it go faster.
If we hear something I keep you posted.
I read that you already live in Vancouver. Under which kind of program or visa?

Hello everyone!
I heard that a bit hard to find a employer.
Because, you must sent many emails to many companies.
And not sure that after all you get a job offer.
Could you share your viewpoint about that.
Thanks.

Hi Mpak, I assume you mean an employer for a tech job role right?
I would say that the demand for tech employees is really high: there are a lot of IT related job opportunities in BC.
However, receiving a job offer is something that depends from many factors, such as previous work experience, current work permit status...
To me, the most important activity as soon as I landed in Vancouver, was connecting with people in the Tech environment in order to meet potential employers and interesting companies. I had been contacted by many recruiters as well but most of them were working in behalf of customers/companies not keen on sponsorship. This is the reason why, while looking for the right job, I had to evaluate the employer first of all and not the salary; I wanted to be sure to find a reliable employer who could have sponsored me for the future work permit.
Hope my answer could help you.
