I contacted mp ralph goodale yesterday, his office was very quick to provide info within a day. According to cic i as primary am stuck in security background check while eligibility criminality medical etc are passed for me and my spouse. My wifes ss is complete too. Its been the same since one year!! And my work permit is expiring in june2018. Im in 28 months now. Dont know when this ss will finish.

Hard to believe that your Security Check started today! Mine started on May 2017 and im also a Jan 2016 applicant! Are you from India?

I don`t know what to say... May be because we are in 4, parents and my sister. Actually we are all Italian Citizen, but my parents were born in India.

I think so... IP2 is not the last stage before PPR?

There are two "In Process" status in every applications for back ground check. What are IP1 and IP2? why in some period of time it is NA?
How long approximately each stage will take?

Can I do flagpole while I am out of status? My work permit expired on Oct 2017. I applied for the extension but it got refused on December 1, 2017. I applied on 15 Feb 2018 for restoration.

Once your passport come back, you dont need work permit anymore since you have that one time visa on your passport.

CIC website says u have to bring all your immigration docs(work permits expired or not and a proof that u applied for restoration status ) receipt or or a print out that says CIC received your application for restoration . everything u have bring it to the border. Don't forget the CoPr and passport good luck

I would like to update you that I just landed as PR yesterday. I wish you all get your PPR soon!
Especially to Umanitoba, katherine888999, Lucky Girl, amanxdeep, samzzk, SEARPH_WatingforPPR, you guys are my sisters and brothers, helped me go through the darkest time in my life. I had no where to go but to talk to you guys, your response, your kindness, your encourages supported me to go through all of this.
Trust me, when the PPR comes, you will see that actually nothing need to be worried, because it will eventually come. Be prepared and try to do and move on your life when it hasn't come yet. You see, now I have it, I realized that I still need to do exercise to lose weight, I still need to improve my English in order to get a better job, nothing to do with the PR.
We are who we are, we are not defined by PR, we shall not be limited by PR, so try not be worried about it. You all will get it, I wish it come very soon to you, my friends. I will pray for you all.
