ECAS and myCIC are two different websites, just google ECAS and visit the first link, it will ask you to provide some information (date and place of birth, last name, etc...) and you can see how the application is going for both applicant and sponsor. It's less detailed than myCIC but it gets updated first. Also, you can check the status on ECAS even if you have a representative but not myCIC
Thank you for the reply. Is ECAS link here: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en
If so, I already know this link but I just called it as Service 3 he he. I only can check my husband's status (my sponsor). For my application status, I have to check MyCIC.

What do u mean? Because it did not said to upload police certificate
when I got requested it says.
This refers to your application for permanent residence under the Family Class or under the Spouse
or Common-law partner in Canada class.
We require the following item(s) to continue processing your application:
 You must complete the Schedule A Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form which is
found at the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/eIMM5669E.pdf
You and all of your family members aged 18 or older (if applicable) must submit this
form. This must be received at this office by: 2018/03/08
 At this time, you need to provide a police certificate for:
1) The country where you currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more;
and
2) The country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18.

Hello, I am a May 2017 applicant, I passed medical exam at the end of Nov 2017, and since then, I haven't heard anything. What is going to be next?

You should have gotten another AOR email yourself with your own UCI number. Write that and your own details and you should be able to check your side as well.

How long will it take to get SA anyone know
Unfortunately there is no rule for the Sponsor Approval, not even a average case. It looks like some people get it at the beginning of the process, others at the end and there are even those who will never receive it

Good morning everyone.
We are Nov applicants. My husband uploaded his Schedule A on Jan 11. Since then we had "action required" stuck to his file and the background check "not available "
After I read you comments about Tuesday's system update I asked my husband to log in and thanks God that "action required" had disappeared, instead we had " documents uploaded" however, the background check had never change. My understanding is that it changes into " in process" it' been more than 6 weeks since he uploaded his Schedule A and I started to get worried.
Is there anything that we can do about it?
Does anyone have a similar experience?
Thanks

if you haven't received a procedural fairness letter, then it's a positive decision. just wait for the landing email.

Hey! Can you tell us a little bit more about this "fairness letter"? I've never heard of. Before ever "negative decision" people always get this letter? Do you know any examples of people being denied? tks!

Well it's nice to see they seem to have finally fixed the "your action is required" glitch, now changed to submitted along with everyone else by the sounds of it. The process is hard enough to gauge as it is without false notices making you wonder if there is something wrong.

Still wish they would hurry up and start sending out the medical notices again, we're getting impatient now being August it's over 6 months, yet I know June and July are still to come first.

Hi,
It took 5 months for my background to show “processing” after I uploaded my Schedule A. I uploaded my Schedule A in April 2017, and my background wasn’t processing until September 2017. Hope that helps & good luck with your application!

my wife uploaded police check and schedule A last december and it always stayed “your action is required”. it was only a few days ago it finally changed to “submitted”. background check since december it says not applicable. it was only a few weeks ago when it changed to “we are processing your background check”.
if you only submitted your police checks last january then maybe yours will start soon.

Here’s a question.
My spouse and I have decided that inland isn’t going to work. He has went back to England for the time being to work (prior to get his OWP) I am going to withdraw the inland application but want to make sure his two year OWP stays intact. Does anyone know how this works? We will be applying Outland now.
