Software engineer. That’s the reason to get ppr earlier.
Why software engineer got ppr earlier than most of applicant? Can this be a form of discrimination?

I dont think you can view it as discrimination because if you do, the whole NOC system itself become a discriminatory element. Each country has desired job classification and Software Engineering happens to be more needed than others in Canada i guess.

NOC codes are subject to economical needs of a country, and that's ok. The classification system makes sense.
What is not ok is when officers are not working on applications that we all paid fair amount of money for in orderly fashion. Why would an engineer get pr sooner only because his NOC code is stronger? How does him getting his pr sooner help the Canadian economy?

I am sure they are not cherry picking among the pool of application just for the engineering ones. Just like someone said that it could have been a coincidence. And also, applications are not processed by one officer. There are probably multiple people working as the immigration assessor who would have different pace and speed in processing. Also, individual cases can be vary depending on the application type, job type, and other elements. I have been in Canada for 10 years now and still working on PR. Its stressful and jealous to see others getting them before me but cest la vie, what can we do.

I agree.
Some people are rushing and stressed out from this delay and I see some r checking their application in hourly basis !!!!! What wrong people. focus on having better career ...

for WP holders; what the PR can add to your life if delayed another 12 months ??? nothing at all , you are going to pay the same TAX, and will get the same OHIP ... tell me what i am going to miss ? the foreigner tax for buying home ..maybe ?

My medical has been expired last month and i don't know when my application is going to resume ..i'm staying calm... because i know that the PR won't add value to my life or career- if more delay occurs.
