guys i know one guy he got his ppr yesterday. He is Oct 13th 2016 applicant.

Do you know if he did upfront medical or he got a medical request?

I did upfront medical in March 2017 and yesterday the message on cic changed from Medical Passed to We will contact you if you need a medical exam. I think upfront medicals are causing delays.

I think it is because medical results are valid for 12 months. As your 12 month margin is around corner the system might have updated your medical's status automatically. I would recommend you to contact CIC to know if you should be ready to take medicals again. (This is just my assumption, calling them won't hurt). I read in one of the threads some months ago that CIC can extend your medical results validity period for 2-3 months more if your application is in final stages.

It is not Upfront Medical.
I received Medical Request on Sep 05 2017.

I just contacted them and the agent said they will contact me if I need to redo my medicals. Currently, they are assessing if they can extend my medical results or not. So that is still under review.
Also, I asked her about Security Check and she said it has not yet started so I guess I got some time on my application.

Early upfront is definitely delaying applications, but only that ones are about to expire

I heard they dont hav too many applicants till decmbr as most applicants got eligiblr fr express entry nd they withdrew their files so shouldnt be longer than month

Who know if I take 3-4 months vocation because my employer can't give me hours in the winter time,it's going affect on my application.

I am November 2016 aplicant,medical request was 5 January. .
