Help with finding the right NOC and claiming points for work history

Hello Everyone,

I have a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and I am working for a service based company in India for more than 3 years. I am planning on applying for Skilled Migration through EE. However, I have no clue regarding claiming points for work history. The issue being my official company designation is not found under NOC search results on CIC website.

NOC for Industrial and manufacturing engineers is 2141.

Although my job duties encompass that of quality assurance engineer, project engineer, my official company designation is Technical Staff.

Please advise as to how I navigate through this situation and claim points for those 3 years.

It doesn't matter what title you have at your office. Just select the NOC that matches more closely with your job responsibilities.

Ok, the organization that I work for doesn't have the practice of giving out job description and job responsibilities for any roles. In that case, can I list out my job responsibilities in a detailed way and get it notarized?

I can submit:

1. My proof of employment letter with designation.

2. My payslips during the entire employment period.

3. Detailed list of job responsibilities notarized.

Please let me know if I have to submit anything else with these.

Self-declared duties/responsibilities are not recommended and you shouldn't provide them unless you have no way out.

Ask a colleague/supervisor to provide these and provide proof that they work at such organization.

I cannot go to my supervisor with this request because they will then know that I am going to quit the organization soon.

However, I can get proof of employment of my current colleague which will have overlap with my employment period.
