let's talk about studying IT in colleges

Almost everything you have to know is written in the title :)
Well, I'm from Russia and I'm 16 years old. After graduating I'm going to move to Canada and enrol in college.
I'd like to study IT there. I have really deep knowledge in this field so it would be great to become a member of Canadian education system.
Let me introduce myself :) I'm in the 10th grade, which means that I have to study here 1.5 years. I have adorable marks and teachers love me. As you could notice, I'm exemplary student lol
Mostly I enjoy math and English, but I understand everything teachers want us to know. I'm an athlete: I'm a champion in the field of kickboxing and I'm a good basketball player. I play for our local team. Also, I'm fond of jogging, hockey and every single kind of sports.
I have a couple of questions about studying in Canadian Colleges and something like that.
1)what should Canadian College's student in the field of IT know about math and actually about IT? I'm asking because I just started improving my math skills(but, you know, Russian math is really great stuff) and I'm learning universities' program
2)I also just need to know some cheap colleges I can enroll in. I'm going to have a job in Canada like in groceries or something like that. Plus, I have a good business that gives me some money that will probably cover living costs there.

And tell me just what should I know. It will probably be hard to start living in unknown country, where I know no one and everyone speaks another language :P
But I love challenges :)

There are quite a few requirements (finances etc), so have a look to see if you are even eligible. Good luck.

Edit: Do you speak English or French? This would a requirement.

You will need to take an english test like IELTS as well. This makes sure you are proficient in writing, reading, speaking, listening.
 
well, I know about stuff like this. I'm just curious about such fact like what students do in colleges and what my life is going to be like :D
umm.. playing for college's basketball team? Great!
Practicing in IT companies as a pupil? Adorable!
 
Activities etc depend on each college. You sound very very confident in your abilities, so good luck.

Is it just even possible to become a member of college's basketball team and stuff like that? TO HAVE A LIFE LIKE IN SERIES lol
 
It all depends on the college and university you are at. Most have sports clubs etc
 
Think you need to look up the meaning of adorable. You will need to be 18 and graduate from high school or a high school equivalent to get into most of these programs. A few universities have a bit of a sports culture but NOTHING like in the US. If you are self-taught in computers I am not sure whether you should consider college and university and go to straight to work. If your interest is in computers and you are as good as you say you are I would try and get into Waterloo with U of T being your second choice. You may also qualify for a scholarship in the US. Canada is not as generous at giving out full scholarship.
