Never heard of that kinda request plus its not mentioned in the police certificate page of the CIC. It may be candidate specific in some cases, but generally you don't need one.
Thank you :)

Hello Everyone,
I sent my fingerprints via mail to the FBI and they have reached on Dec 7th. Looking at current processing times I might not get them till end of March.
I see that the new eDO process is setup for submission online and people are getting response sooner. Is it advisable to reapply online ? My deadline is 7th March. Will I be able to get a response from FBI by then ? Can somebody who has gone through the eDO process give some guidance.

Thank you.

Not sure, as today morning i checked and it was showing INSUFFICIENT and then i got completed notification in sometime. So can't say if it was in progress for sometime.

BTW, I got two notifications one at 8:39 AM PST finger prints received and other one at 8:46 AM confirming summary request completed. So i think 7 minutes gap would be in progress status

Definitely reapply in eDO. Your regular paper application can be your backup. Folks are getting responses in a day with eDO.

Guys, new system is really fast, at least for now. Status changed from: IN PROGRESS to RESPONSE WAITING and I can download my identity history PDF right there.

FYI: My finger print card reached yesterday but status didn't change yesterday. (It was INSUFFICIENT until today morning)

Hi Guys,
I am new to the thread. I have one question filling out the FBI application. During our stay in USA. My wife never had a SSN number instead only ITIN number as my wife was not working. So can I leave the SSN field blank or should I fill it up with ITIN number. Any response would be really helpful.

You can leave it blank , its not a required field. For example, Students dont have SSN number until they get a job and dont have ITIN number either, if that was mandatory, students would never get PCC.
