The duration of the security check changes according to country of origin and number of places you've traveled to and other things like that but it is mandatory for everyone

My background is clean as whistle!!! As of November 18, 2018 they haven't started yet! but the note says due date on 14th Feb, 2018. And yes I've traveled few countries but never more than 3/4 weeks. Hope something gonna come up after 14th February, 2018 :( :(

Hi Guys,
Probably nobody will answer me but I still try to raise my question. I live in Paris, I got my AOR at 11 jan. I linked my application to my account and I can check my status in CAS. I would like to know what is the next steps? and
I was wondering if there is someone who has experience with France, specially about the timeline of those steps? Very appreciated

Are you inland applicant ?
Your application pass the 14 month as of 18 January : Did you call them ? If you are inland you can call 1-888-242-2100 and ask the telecenter agent to send a message to the agent who are working on your application.
If you are not an inland applicant : Did you send them a formulaire web ? You can send a formulaire web to tell them that your application deadline is over .

Well ....
Hello ,
This link is more for people coming fromn english speaking countries or no French speaking countries and for inland applicant as well .
I don't specialy have any esperience with appliying while living in France . because I applied when living in Montreal . But I can send you some links . People in this forum are 90% French . Some of them applied when living in canada ( inland applicants ) and some of them ( a lot of them actually) applied when Living in France :
2018 applicant : https://pvtistes.net/forum/le-delai-et-suivi-du-traitement-de-la-rp/140941-residence-permanente-federal-traitement-2018-a.html
As you know 2018 applicants are new applicants , so May be you won't have all answer you need . But on the same forum you can check for the previous years .
2017 applicants : https://pvtistes.net/forum/le-delai-et-suivi-du-traitement-de-la-rp/134668-residence-permanente-federal-traitement-2017-a.html
2016 applicants : https://pvtistes.net/forum/le-delai-et-suivi-du-traitement-de-la-rp/126565-residence-permanente-federal-traitement-2016-a.html

I got my final GCMS note,I just wanted to know what the immigration officer wrote the final conclusion.elegibilty: passed criminality: passed medical : passed background check: passed security:empty. I checked a lot of forum,it shows that not every one need security check, they just choose a few people to do security check, less than 20% if they think after background check for everyone, they need deep dig more information and then they send to Canada security department to do deep security check.for exemple graduated from languages school !military or police officer or nuclear background, travel to a lot of countries.it's possible to do security check.

If you applied from France you will have the same VO and your experience will be the same . And also the VO of paris is really faster than inland applicant (11 to 12 months ) when inland is 14 months . So..
