Hey guys! Another update:

I just received an email from CIC confirming that my application has been forwarded to Vienna VO. CSQ has also been requested.

Waiting on AOR2 and ECAS line now!

Hey October 27 applicant here.
I got the transfer email to LVO January 16th, and I had the ECAS update saying they started processing my application January 24th. All though no email or anything else to confirm it arrived in London. I’m sure yours will be updated soon.

It all looks like it is on track. Give it a few more days and you should hopefully see the ECAS update.
As I have understood it, it confirms that the application has been entered into their system. Which is definitely the first step in order for someone to take a look at it. I’m not sure if they are working on the application now or just have put it in the system for later.
But no matter what it seems to be a sign of the application moving along in the process.

not all visa offices respond that they have received your file or that they are working on it. its normal not to hear from them for months.

I know that but its just sitting there since 21st of December and i didnt hear anything, so i just want to check. Thank you @posse

From what I gather on these forums it's pretty common with any visa office to not hear things for a long time. December 21 is barely 6 weeks ago. Some Visa offices don't send out AOR2s. Have you completed PCC, Schedule A, and your Medical Check?

I presume that you are an October Applicant because you are posting this question here? You're still well within normal processing times and trying to get in touch with the Visa Office or IRCC isn't going to speed things up.

The more people request information by e-mail or calling (or even ordering GCMS notes), the more it takes the staff and officers away from actually working on the application, so there's a reason why IRCC and Visa Offices are so hard to reach. Ultimately it slows the process down for everyone if too many people impatiently contact the offices just to get status updates.

Each Visa Office works at a different pace, and once files leave Mississauga it's hard to compare timelines. for some people the BC changes quickly and then it stays that way for a long time, and for others it takes a long time for it to change, but PPR follows soon thereafter. It's anyone's guess, really.

There's a thread for the Vienna Office (https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/vienna-office.74361/) where there's a lot of discussion about it being quite slow at times. My application will probably end up there too, so it will also be a test of my patience when I get to that stage I'm afraid. Hope things go well for you!

Hey there! As @edvm mentioned Vienna is pretty slow, you can see in the thread. They don’t have a number you can reach them at and they’ve only ever responded to me when I inquired through webform but it was specifically about the police certificate. Otherwise they send a very generic response.

Our BGC started but I honestly think that was a fluke or some dumb luck because we sent an inquiry the same day. From what I see they don’t actually usually update BGC until applicants just about receive their DM/PPR.

I’m not going to start worrying about it until March/April. Seems like that’s about the rough processing time.

Trust me, your turn will come soon. I am a Sep. applicant and my time line is about month and half earlier than you. VO is also CPC-Mississauga, and my ECAS updated from Application Received to In Process yesterday. Although it is not guaranteed, but you can estimate your time line based on mine.
