WES Help : Last name not expanded in my academic certificate

Yes, i did register in WES as per my passport details. I will also attach one letter to explain initial and surname along with my passport copy.

1)Will this( i mean surname in bracket) cause any problem while submitting application in CIC.
2) Did you face any problem in CIC.
3) also, my consolidated transcript does not have date of birth, i hope that won't be problem.

Please advise.

I am yet to submit my application. So, I am not sure if there would be any issues, but I believe it should be okay. We are not faking something, our documents are just that way, so I am 99% sure that it shouldn't create any issues. I believe this would be the case for every south Indian and plenty of them from south India would have got PR. So nothing to worry. And since degree certificate needs to be submitted after ITA, and since my employment documents also contain my initials, I am planning to submit one and same person affidavit for the initials. You could do the same. Google this forum for the template.

No date of birth is fine, they will put whatever date of birth you give during your application in the report.

4. My father’s first name was mentioned as initial in some of my documents.
5. Therefore, the following names refer to the one and the same person:
a. AAAAAA (First Name) BBBBBB(LastName)
b. AAAAAA (First Name) B(First letter of my LastName)

The above are the variations of the same name and should not be considered name changes.

So I do hereby solemnly affirm that foregoing are true and correct statements.

guys, i have the same issue here my name on academic certificate is different than my passport, but after searching on WES website i got the below :

• A WES evaluation report is always issued under the name indicated on the academic record(s).
• If your name or date of birth are incorrect on your academic records, you must have it corrected by the institution. Please have any inaccuracies corrected and have the documents resent to WES as specified in the document requirements.

Guys my Nam is Samrat Mannaigari and WES evaluation says 'Samrat Mannai gari' there is a space in between my last name ? how bad is this ? Can i use this same for Canada Immigration ? will that be ok ?

Hello,

My last name is expanded in my passport. But In transcripts, it is just initials as mentioned in below example.

Passport Name : KARTHIK PALANI
Academic certificate Name : KARTHIK P

I got the transcript from my university, do i need to enclose name affidavit from indian consulate or something else to indicate KARTHIK P is same person as KARTHIK PALANI along with my passport copy and transcript before sending it to WES or Just enclosing passport copy and letter to WES would be sufficient.

Actually, i don't have different name but it's just that my last name is not expanded in my academic certificate, instead only initial is present as stated above.

Let me know your opinion, my concern was WES will issue ECA report with same name mentioned in my academic certificate. So, will this cause problem when i upload my application in CIC website.

Some of them mentioned this will not cause any problem and enclosing passport copy would be sufficient but i just wanted to double confirm before sending my transcripts to WES.

Please let me know your view on this.

How did you proceed, did you enter the initial or as in like passport(Expanded name).

I created the profile on my passport name and also entered the name as per my credential, which was not expanded like the passport. I emailed WES beforehand and they replied saying that they will issue the report with the name indicated on the application (passport name) and will also indicate the name my academic records display. Firstly you should have copied across your passport name but it's too late for that. So you can try reaching out to them on the contract form and explain the situation. No idea how they'll respond because my courier is still on the way . By the way as a last resort, you can try to reach out to their Twitter handle and see what they say.

While my WES profile has the full passport name, the credentials have ARJUN P. Is there something that I should do?
