You have to provide the medicals of all immediate family members even if they are not accompanying. See https://www.getgcms.com/blog/medicals-preparation-expect-diagnosed-ailment-comprehensive-post/

You should have receive a request for your step son's medicals, if your spouse is the biological parent of the step-son.
Ok, I probably missed out on explaining the actual situation here, my bad.
My hubby does not have his kids custody and it is impossible for him to get in touch with the kid. We did provide LOE along with divorce/custody papers and a notarised declaration from my husband about the whole situation. The review required by officer was for this reason alone and nothing more.
This is the reason I am confused as the officer has passed eligibility under EE M1 PV2' I wanted to know if this would mean they are considering only me n my hubbys meds which are oaased, but no mention about the kids meds.

Hi @legalfalcon

My application is now 9 months in since my AOR, so i raised my first CSE and was told background check is ongoing, and they will contact me again when they can but to note that it is unlikely to happen for quite some time yet. Is it normal to take this long? And have you came across anyone who received a reply like this before? I’m worried what they may see as a long time, may mean much much longer in my dictionary.
How long have you been at ip2? I am since 27 Nov. Did you order gcms notes?

@legalfalcon

It is really Generous of you stay back on Forum to help others....

I have a very common question for which i would love to get response from you.
My background status changed from Not Started to Not needed at this time, can you please help me understand what could be the possible reasons for that, and when does it happens

Dear Legal Falcon, please advise about the awkward situation . I applied for my GCMS report which I received yesterday. Upon reviewing the notes I noticed that repeated it was mentioned that whether we have applied for immigration before. We did apply and I had informed my consultant and provided her the reference number we had for our application in 2004. However, at that time we deicided not to pursue our application further and informed Canadian Immigration accordingly However, as per notes I could notice that N is mentioned against this question. I will send picture of that page.

Hi Legalfalcon,

In the year 2016 while applied for visit visa I mentioned my current occupation as "Administrative Officer" but I got my ITA for NOC 1241-Administrative Assistant. can you please advise how can I handle this in my PR application submission?

hi,
i wanted to ask that getting rprf request in express entry mean eligibility review has been done or not?
is this a positive thing?

@legalfalcon

I got to know that you are a connoisseur in EE matters and your advice value a lot by the forum. And thus I felt a need to write to you wrt the unexpected delay in my PPR. I hope if you can understand and share your thoughts wrt my profile.

My TL is as follows:

FSWO Indian PA + spouse + kid
Living in India having only one PCC and visited only one foreign country in lifetime. No travel history of spouse or kid.
AOR - 16th May'17
Medical cleared - 28th June'17
IP2 - 2nd Aug'17
PPR - awaiting

GCMS - ordered in Sep and Nov'17 generated on 1st Oct'17 and 21st Nov'17, respectively.
Eligibility, Medical, Criminality - all passed, Info sharing - complete, other Reqs - cancelled, Security - seems to redacted, Final - blank.
Both notes have s.15(1) and s.16(1)(c) on the right hand top corners on some pages. Assessments – Security status redacted and Activities – Sub activity – something seems to be redacted for me and my spouse. Security Screening or SS nowhere found on either GCMS.

Called the CIC call centre many times only to know that BGC are in process and they can’t commit any timeline. Asked about the SS and they told I’m not. Raised CSE and sent emails through my consultant and got the generic replies that more verification is required and thus can’t commit on the dates.

Can you pls help me what may be the reason of so much delay of 248 days post AOR!
Am I in SS or not?
If not what is the probable delay and when can I expect PPR?
If yes then how long can it take?

Regards,

Have you worked for the government?

@legalfalcon,
Does IRCC also checks our social media accounts during security?

In security, everything can be checked. Usually social media is not high on the priority list, but if there is anything that suggests that it should be checked, it will be.

First of all, 80% of the application are processed within 6 months. The 6 months processing time starts from the day R10 is passed and not AoR.

Have you requested GCMS notes, and is your eligibility passed?

If the custody is not shared, and there are no visitation rights, then IRCC will make the file accordingly and exempt you form having the medicals of the child. But for that you will have to point it out and also give reference to the custody document and divorce papers.

Not an issue. The questions you see at the end of the GCMS. notes are standard and all application have it multiple times.

No need to worry and there is no need to explain. The designation is not important, it is the Jon duties which matter.
