Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if someone can help please. I’m an Outland applicant, being sponsored by my Canadian girlfriend - I’m a British Citizen and we live together in the UK.

I’ve been doing some reading on a few forums to try to get a better idea of when I will receive CoPR.

I believe I may be in the OB570 stream, but I wonder if someone can clarify this?

I received my AOR on Oct 4th 2017, which was pretty standard the application was received by CPC Mississauga on 23/08/2017 etc etc. The subject line was long and included the phrase “Enhanced AOR for Back Office”.

My sponsor received her approval on Oct 6th, in which it stated the application would be held at CPC Mississauga pending receipt of my Schedule A.

All documents incl police certificate were sent, I did the medical as requested. Medical status changed to “Passed” on 22nd Oct.

My Background Check Status changed to “We are processing your background check” on 18th Dec (which I believe means my application is in the IP2 phase?).

I was just wondering if anyone can clarify if I am indeed in the OB570 stream, meaning everything is being processed in Mississauga, and what I can expect to come next?

Can anyone give me an idea of when I can expect CoPR (not sure if I will receive the “PPR” as the UK is Visa exempt)?

Also, if anyone else is in the same boat with their application, I’d be keen to share experiences.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, you can join us over on this thread:

You should be getting your approval soon if BGC is in progress. I’m an August 2 Mississauga applicant and I got DM and PPR on December 29. You will get PPR if you are being processed at Mississauga (London VO hasn’t been doing them for visa exempt folks but everyone at Mississauga gets one.

Good luck!

You are indeed in the OB570 stream. And it is not necessary that you case to be processed faster than other VOs. I have already saw two cases got their PPR within 100 days from Egypt and Turkey. But supposedly that you will expect your case approval within 6 months range.

Thanks both! Sounds promising, I’m checking on it everyday.

One question, I noticed a lot of people in the other thread have received an email confirming their application is being processed in Mississauga. The only correspondence we received was in the sponsor approval letter (sent to sponsor), stating “The CPC in Mississauga will continue to hold the associated application, pending receipt of a Schedule A”. Can I be sure this means my application is being fully processed in Mississauga?

Cheers

1. No, it means that Mississauga won't send the application anywhere until the Schedule A is received.

Then, it is not for sure at all.:-( The mail that I got actually specifically stated that "This message is being sent to confirm that the application for permanent residence for your relative(s) will be processed at CPC Mississauga."

Ok, thanks.

From reading my first post, do you think it’s likely that my application is in Mississauga anyway? Schedule A and police cert were uploaded in October. Just with my BGC showing “in progress”, I was under the impression that this meant I’m pretty close to the end of processing. I haven’t received anything to indicate my application has been sent anywhere else.

Thanks

It may or may not. And it could be your case has been already transferred to London VO. We have seen some cases that IRCC didn't send AOR2 at all. If your case is as straight forward as it gets, it really doesn't matter where your case will be processed. The general consumption is that such type of case will be approved between 6-8 months.

I have heard that the London VO can be sketchy about sending AOR2, so it's very possible that you were transferred and didn't know. If you'd like to know for sure, you can order your GCMS notes. All the transfers will be listed there.

Thanks for the help. Communication from IRCC is a bit hit and miss. I’m coming up to month 6, so I guess by the time I get the GCMS notes, I’ll probably get DM anyway. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it comes through in the next month or so.

If they kept you in Mississauga, it’s possible, but London VO is taking more like 9-10 months

Not necessarily. I'm being processed in Mississauga under the OB570 stream, going on month 13 now with no updates at all for more than 10 months.

Thanks for the input everyone. It sounds like there’s no real way of knowing for sure. It certainly makes it really hard to plan ahead.

I am wondering, however, if my BGC is showing in progress, medical passed, all docs sent etc. Surely it can’t take much longer, even if my applications is indeed at the London VO?

That sounds like a nightmare. I hope you get a breakthrough soon. Out of interest, would you mind sharing your timeline and what statuses are showing in MyCIC? Did you submit your application before the new “12 month” target came into play in Dec 2016?

No, I submitted my application first week in Jan 2017. Applicant from Sweden.
Sponsor approval Feb 16 2017, Document request Feb 20 2017. Since then...a whole lot of nothing. I have tried since August of last year to ask if they need anything else, with no sucess.
