When your medicals expire, it triggers a system alert and IRCC takes a call on it. Either they can extend your medicals, or ask you to re-do them. You can raise a CSE and ask IRCC, or just wait to hear from them.

If your GCMS notes are delayed, that could be because your application is at the finalization stage, an administrative delay, or with an outside agency. Just follow up with IRCC and see where the delay is.

Thank you Legal. Currently my medical status is "You do not need medical exam". If they extended my medical then when should i expect to get the medical status "Pass" again ?????? and when will they release GCMS notes ???

Hello LegalFalcon,
Thanks for all your guidance. I received my COPR and planning on a short landing. Am currently doing my Masters in US and would relocate permanently after finishing my studies. Is short landing acceptable, any questions that I should be prepared for ? Please advice.

I would land at Pearson Airport on a Saturday and would like to know if the SIN offices at the airport would be working on Saturdays. I could not find required information from the airport website. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Sasi

YEs, the WP dates can be different from TRV. You can work only during the dates mentioned in the WP, however you can live in Canada as long as you have a valid TRV. When your WP is about to expire, you should file a renewal 90 days prior.
but in my case, TRV (expiring 09-Jan-2019) seems to be expiring prior to WP (potential expiry 15-Feb-2019, as I intend to land on 15-Feb-2018 which will be start date of my WP)....so I should apply for WP renewal in at least in Nov-2019, and also for renewal of TRV?

Hi @legalfalcon

Can anyone plz tell me if my application is at IP2 stage?
My file is at London Visa Office

AOR - 14 July 2017
Med Passed - 25 July
Background - no change since the application submitted still says we will let u know when we start the BGC
ADR - 5 Dec
Provided - 8 Jan 2018
ADR - 16 Jan - Height, Eyes color, New Medical Report (last one is expiring soon)

Regards

There is no stage known as IP1 or IP2. Some people based on the change in MyCIC status name such stages. The stages that each application goes through are:

R10
Criminality
Medicals
Eligibility
Security

To read more see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

Based on your above progress, your eligibility, medicals, R10 and criminality should have been passed. But to be sure you will need to see your GCMS notes.

Your status will change when they made a determination to passed. So far no decision has been made.

Hi .legalfalcon,
Thank you, I compared the scores and it looks like, when I calculate through CRS tool, it is giving me points for my foreign work experience under skill transferability which I don't have.

So, my concern here is: For this question where it says: In the last 10 years, how many total years of skilled work experience do you have?
Is it asking for overall work experience as whole or just experience outside Canada?

Because I was assuming, it is taking both Canadian and foreign work experience, therefore i was giving it as 1 year (as I have it in Canada). Could you please provide some insight on this.?

@legalfalcon
I have a query regarding funds.

I have received the PPR and have sent the passports for CoPR.
Can I now move the funds out of my savings bank account and park it in Mutual Funds for earning better returns than the savings account rate? I intend to move by early May, so thats when once again I would liquidate the funds and park it in bank.

Can this thing be done without jeopardizing any kind of immigration requirements?

@legalfalcon URGENT !
Legal Falcon, I'm in need of your assistance once again.
I just received ADR asking me to fill the travel history form (IMM5562).
It says "List all trips taken outside your country of origin or country of residence in the last 10 years".

So my question is, i studied in the Philippines for a number of years as a student (Student Visa) so is that considered a 'Residency status' (Thereby not needed to be entered in the travel history form) or considered as a 'Trip' which needs to be entered ? (If so then it would have to be over 20 trips in and out of Philippines.)
Thank you and
Please Advise !! (I have 4 days left to submit the form)

Hi Legalfalcon,

I need your guidance regarding my submitted application. I had l1b visa interview in December which didn't go through but my visa status is still administrative processing because of which i didn't mention it as visa denied. Should i raise cse to clarify this as I haven't mentioned it while submission

Thanks in advance for your advice

Skilled experience is both in Canada and outside, i.e. total. Then it will ask you a specific question about work experience in Canada, that is where you answer the Canadian work ex.

Yes, you can do that, and you do not need to liquidate it, as mutual funds can be used as POF when you land.

If you are no longer residing in Philippines you will have to account for it and add it in the form.
