How long will you be in another country?

You get 30 days to do them.

The schedule A you can do from any computer.

What about the medical?

You can get a medical done anywhere in the world.. As long as its by a CIC approved panel physician. You do not have to be in the country you normally live in or have citizenship in.

So I can freely travel anywhere anytime? Do I need to update CIC?

If you applied inland you are advised not to travel during the application process.

If Outland you are not advised against travelling but there is no guarantee you will be allowed back into Canada as as soon as you leave your status in canada becomes void if a visitor status.

In terms of the medical..you can check where panel physicians are all over the world on the CIC website.

I called cic on Thursday in regards about this. We just received aor1 on Friday and from what I have seen here is that most people were getting a medical request within a week.
However, my husband leaves India on the 12th to a country that doesn't have an approved panel physician.
So I called cic because I was getting panicked on what to do here in case we didn't get the medical request soon. And the agent that I spoke too said that I can call on once we get the medical request and explain the matter and he did say that they will allow him to go to a place in that country but they will just ensure that doctor will do all test required.

Are you traveling for work?

I am the principal applicant. Does it still apply on me?

Yes I am talking about the principal applicant.

The sponsor is under no such regulations, they are citizen/PR holder, so can do they as please.

Yes, for work. May be Australia. I just don't want any problem in the process.

It's an outland app. And I do not have any visitors visa.

There shouldn't be any issue though.
My husband also works out of his home country but it's there in the application and we explained it in his travel form.
So as far as I know you don't need to update them. Now your sponsor if they were to move or leave Canada for work, they would need to update cic.
I could be wrong here, but this is what I know and what we are doing.

The PA for an outland app can travel as much as they want. No need to worry
