hi

In 2017 I was issued an ITA and did my medical. In the end I was rejected for a reason that I have since fixed. I was able to rejoin the EE pool and received my ITA in December last year. I am currently in the process of accepting and submitting all my forms again however my medical is going to expire in March. I went to the doctor to try to renew but they said they can’t do it until it expires. My lawyer says he never heard of this issue ever and to get them to issue a letter explaining why to submit with my forms. Has anyone ever had this problem? I’m afraid My medical will expire before they even get to my application because last time they took four months. Anyone can help? Any advice? Thanks so much!

It doesn't matter if your medicals expire during the processing of your application, if IRCC needs a new one they will let you know.

My medical expired during the processing of my application and not only was my application accepted but also I was given a year to finish the landing procedure.

All you need to do is to submit your application with your current medical before it expires. IRCC may later ask you to repeat the exam or even extend it for you. Your doctor is right, he/she can't submit a second medical report as long as your medical report is still valid. Good Luck!

No problem but a word of advice, if your lawyer couldn't tell you something simple like this you should be careful with him/her.

Second this. Very basic information that any decent lawyer should know.

Duly noted. Even I got a bit skeptical. I’ve reached so far at this point though so hopefully things work out. Thanks again.
