Lucky are the people who are getting progress on their application and here i am wondering what possibly went wrong with my application, i checked it well before sending, application was received on Oct 19 and nothing after that. I feel so disappointed that even after submitting my application way ahead didn't really helped. Application has not been returned but no response on web inquiry has been answered either. God knows in which pile my application is collecting dust or its just the case of me losing patience now.... God please don't be so cruel

Happy new year all!! For my citizenship application, as an additional evidence I have to provide entry/exit records. The exact requirement is to provide entry/exit records issued by authorities of citizenship country other than Canada (in my case, its India). Does anyone know how to obtain it?

I've already submitted three webforms... the first they replied asking me some information like tracking number, etc (Even though I attached the confirmation of delivery), then they replied asking for the receipt number which I didn't have on hand so I didn't add it on my second webform and now waiting for the response on the third webform which if the trend is right I should get an answer by Friday (or luckily AOR before that).
Hopefully the AOR!

Dear all,

@vermanaman
@Caknightrider
@mae_g

I have one questions; I saw you all requested for urgent processing; I have a friend intending to apply for Urgent processing as he has to travel to USA multiple times for work purposes. How did you apply for urgent processing, I mean what other extra documents did you submit to request for urgent application processing?

I would be glad if I could get your kind responses soon.
Best Regards.

I have a friend intending to apply for Urgent processing as he has to travel to USA multiple times for work purposes.
For what it is worth, more about the parameters of reasonable expectations and not about discouraging making a request for urgent processing (generally there is no negative risk in requesting urgent processing), the need to travel internationally for work is NOT likely to be considered a sufficient reason for urgent processing.

(There are contrary opinions, but those are mostly if not entirely rooted in a misunderstanding of the urgent processing qualifying criteria based on employment.)

From CIC: To apply for urgent processing, you must be eligible to apply for citizenship and have an emergency, such as:
  • needing Canadian citizenship to:
    • apply for a job
    • avoid losing your job
    • go to a Canadian school, college or university
  • needing to travel because of death or serious illness in your family and you can’t get a passport in your current nationality
  • receiving a successful Federal Court decision on an appeal on a previous application for citizenship
Even if these conditions apply to you, we may not be able to process your request urgently. If we do process your request urgently, we may not be able to do it in time to help your situation.

Question: I think based on the CIC information you cannot ask for urgent processing based on the ground that your fiancé is in the US and you need to go and visit him and your visa application to the US is rejected. Any experience or idea on this?

There is nothing prohibiting asking for urgent processing for any reason.

Whether or not IRCC will urgently process the application is a separate question.

Generally, with rare and narrow exceptions (compelling medical necessity), as far as any reporting has reliably indicated reasons arising out of need to travel internationally do NOT lead IRCC to urgently process a citizenship application . . . whether for visiting family abroad or to meet job travel needs.

But the applicant can ask. And, perhaps, it might be granted. Not likely in this circumstance but possibly. Urgent processing is almost entirely at IRCC's discretion.
