Let me know if i can be of any help?
Is your spouse from Mexico? :)

Hello msg,

thank you for your post.

I hope that we can have a successful interview.

how was the environment at the interview, were the agents arrogant or friendly, or how would you describe them. I know not all of them are the same but just wondering how it was for you.

NP! I saw the other OP's post and I thought I would just let you know if it might help calm some of your fears. You now have a date, so hopefully you will know what happens on the 24th as it seems many applicants from this VO were told whether they were approved or not.

We haven't heard anything and as such, probably won't hear anything until the new year. We should get our GCMS notes the second week of January. If we haven't heard anything by January 25, I plan to make as big of a stink as I can and email the VO, call IRCC and contact my MP all at the same time and give them a piece of my mind. There is no way it should take longer than 1 year to process our app, even if we need an interview. Maybe that will put a black mark on our app, but I really want them to know that we are not happy and if it helps out other people to not go through this long dragged out process (including taking 7 weeks for them to open our app in Mexico, them making a mistake in not sending out an email for our RCMP report and taking 10 months now to do our criminal background check which was started in February), then it's worth it.

Enjoy your Christmas with your family and then you should have lots of time to prepare for your interview! Think positively! :)

Hello Majesty,

thanks again for your post.

We were busy with the holidays and baby, but now is time to focus in the interview. hopefully we can do good, so my husband can return to Canada soon.

Happy new year for everyone.

There were two agents, one in each interview room.
We had a young canadian officer; and a translator even if my husband speaks English, he wanted to be sure to answer properly each question.
She was a nice officer however serious during the interview, was quite fair to us. My husband went in without being nervous and stayed calm and positive.

We were lucky, because the august-September interviews were apparently bad, the officer back then was not nice and refused many people.

Stay calm, positive, answer with examples and not just a yes or no. Remain truthful.
Review everything you wrote on the application with your spouse.

Before we were approved, the officer said there were info missing about where he lived 10 yrs ago. I knew i had written it and glad i was there to point it out.

I brought more letters of support from friends and coworkers who witness our daily calls and interacted with us, also everyone at work signed us a well wishes cards. I brought all that and more calls and chat logs to our interview

That is kind of scary that a lot of people got refused. I'm sure most were genuine relationships, but you are at the mercy of someone who is not nice, which is really unfair and only shows that you are not good at answering questions and/or that you can get flustered. However, a lot of this process is not fair as we have often seen.
