Hi Dear members

I have a post-doc offer and I will be in Canada for 2 months next year. I want to know :

1-university provide LMIA for me and I can extend it for 1 year or more, however, if I want to switch or change my job after 1 year, so I should get LMIA again for another company (for instance, bank or other business)?

2 - 1 year post doc has a score for express entry ?

1. Yes - your new employer would need to obtain a new LMIA and you would need to obtain a new work permit based on that LMIA before you would be able to change jobs. Generally speaking - it's quite difficult to find companies willing to go through the LMIA process (banks typically won't do it).
2. I'm not sure I understand this question.

Thank you for your reply

Do you know what is the situation about extending the job in the current company? If I work as a Post-doc in a university with LMIA , Do I need a new LMIA if I want to work at the same university after my 1-year Post-doc?

Anybody has Idea about: 1-year post-doc has a score for express entry?
