Would you mind pleaae share their call center number or agent number ?

Thanks
In that case, it is recommended that you call the CIC customer service number and talk to the agent directly. Generally, it is observed that once we have a decision made, within 2 weeks we get PPR. However, this is a general trend and not rule of thumb. Its always better to call CIC and know the status first hand.

For visitor visa, Mycic account says your application has been approved.

PR application still has BGC in progress from October 5th.
Congrats buddy. Lucky u!!!

Yes i did. I got auto reply on the same day on november 14 And then another email on December 9 that they flagged it as priority and it will be forwarded as soon as possible.
Dont know when im going to receive it.[/QUOTE
I just got a Auto Reply on December 8; but ATIP still didn’t reply to my inquiry and still no notes. How long did it take to get a actual reply from ATIP? It used to only take 3 days before! I don’t know if I should wait it out or email them again...

Did NDVO reply to you yet? I’m thinking of emailing them too but not sure if I should just wait until January but then again it takes them 30 days just to reply back....so I’d be looking at February for a response back.

Looks like ppl with interview they are finalizing... But why holding regular straight forward ones... just bad luck...
i guess, if NDVO needs to take interview then do that, but atleast finish the grulling suspense and the with for PPR.
god only knows what happened with all our files and applications.
now i think i should have applied for the visitors visa. i guess now its too late. lets see what happens when i go 2 delhi early Jan.
God b with us.

I can empathize with April applicants. At least for us May applicants, nothing has been started on most of our applications but for most April applicants their BCG started on October and some in Nov with no news ever since- that must be really painful. While prior months saw DM a day or max a week after BCG in progress. Seriously guys, I do not understand what is happening there, and I hope all of you who have BCG in progress get a massive DM AND PPR email by the end of this month.

Hi all:

I actually just found out about this forum and wanted to see if anyone knew about the new process change they did. So far this is my timeline:
(I apologize I dont know the meaning of terms AIOR 1 and 2 yet)

Application posted Sept 25
Application # / GC key Nov 17 which is when they told me they received the application on Oct 2
Request for background Nov 20
Request for medical Nov 22 (which my wife got done right away and in about 4 days I got confirmation saying medical passed updated on the gc account)
And Nov 28 they said they sent the file to India New Delhi now and I have not heard anything for the past 20 days basically.

I applied visitor visa mid Nov and got refused in 2 weeks for "purpose of visit not valid" :(

It looks to me like they changed the process, as medical used to be done at the end of the process after everything is done in Dehli. So I was wondering if anyone here knew anything about the new process?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance. Hope to keep in touch and provide more feedback as well go along on this journey together.

Has your spouse/principle applicant received an email acknowledging the receipt of your application at NDVO or has the principle applicant's side on ECAS changed to "In Process" yet? That would be the first step. After that the next step is an update on GC KEY saying "we are processing your Background Check..blabla" For an update like that to happen so many of us are waiting to hear from NDVO.... most of us who are waiting right now are May Applicants whose files went to NDVO in July/August and have not had any updates from them ever since ...there are also some April and some March applicants still left...
be ready to wait at least 5-7 months now before any action from them.

Thank you for the update. Did the process change again after Jan, I personally know some one who applied in Feb 2017 and the whole process was done in 4 months and his wife landed in Canada May 30. However his medical was done after the application was in Delhi.
So medical is being done before the file is sent to delhi now?

Thank you again.

Jan and Feb applicants got very lucky!! the process did not change however we do not know what is happening at NDVO as all of a sudden they are slower than last year. Even most March applicants got PPR within 7 months but now there seems to be nothing from them yet. If you look at the google sheets so many April applicants are waiting for DM and PPR and so many of us May applicants have not had BCG yet! so yeah..

Sorry for being newbie, where can I find the full forms for acronyms of DM and etc? I understand BCG is background check?
Is there any difference between if the sponsor is a citizen vs PR, because I have heard that there is some delay if the sponsor is PR, their files are taking longer.

It is really unfair to reject visitor visa in that case. Did that happen to anyone here as well?

Thank you again!

DM-> decision made, PPR= passport request.. these are just made up acronyms by us forum users :)
There are actually no noticeable difference between PR and Citizen.. other forum members can correct me if I am wrong.
Yeah a lot of people have had rejected visitor visas.
