This is ridiculous. Holiday plans have effectively been destroyed...my flight left this morning after my passport has sat in Ottawa for over a month without even showing approved in myCIC. This is madness.
my flight due on 27 still waiting for tracker to be activate

Did my landing today. Mine is a family of four. I was aware of some refusals at the bridges near Niagara for landing during weekends (Thursday-Monday), but still wanted to take a chance. Because, I only heard about refusal stories in a different forum, but no official announcement from IRCC. I planned to spend a night in Niagara, NY and then land on the following day. When I crossed the border, the US agent at Rainbow Bridge told me that CBP does not process landing during weekends. The following day (today), I did not want to take a chance, and drove to Thousand Islands. The POE CBP office was almost empty. There was six-seven officers, and only one person who was there not for landing. We were immediately called and submitted our passports and CoPRs. We were asked to confirm all the information on our CoPRs and sign them. We had to turn in our existing WPs. No other question was asked, and no other document was required. The overall process took 10-15 mins. We received our passports with CoPRs stapled. Another single applicant appeared for landing after us. He finished before us. And, I overheard that he was asked to verbally confirm his available fund. While it was a long a detour, I think it was a right decision to go to Thousand Islands. The following link has few horror stories about waiting at the border, and personally it is easier for me to drive more than to spend hours at CBP office or to be refused for landing.

When I landed in Osoyoos, BC the officer didn't even want to see my WP let alone take it from me. It seems like there is a fair bit of variation as to what CBP officers do during landing procedures. Glad you got it done without issues! Congrats!!

Tracking : waiting

I might call them and ask about my passport tomorrow Monday. I feel that my passport is the most important for my staying in Canada and they should not have my passport with them for a month or longer.

Always wait and wait and wait for this PR processing. Just waiting when it is all over.

Who else did not get mail activate?

Thanks for sharing! Do you mind describing the documents they suggested you take to the border? I might need to prepare them soon in case my passport does come back in time for my flight.

Mine was delivered on 16 nov and opened on dec 01. 2 days after you and it is printed already. We will get it by next week. Stay positive
Mine is also delivered on Nov 16th, just called them, one agent said it will be delivered before Dec 28th, another said soon. I have a flight on this Friday, so very frustrated.

Tracker updated - waiting.

I see many people with a later PP-received-date getting their approval on MyCIC already. I am clueless as to how CIC works. I have a flight scheduled on december 24 and this wait is annoying. My vacation plans are screwed. Any chance of getting the passport back before this week? Anybody with the same timeline and got their passport back?

If not this week, With the holidays coming, I dont think I will get my passport back for the next two weeks (christmas week followed by the new year week).
