You need to follow IRCC instructions which differ in each case. I thought your matter was solved as they gave you instructions in PPR Letter including after birth procedure.

We have sent our passports to VO yesterday. However based on CSE filed, I have now received a request letter from IRCC giving the below options and IRCC wants us to notify them of our decision.

1. Land in Canada and deliver the baby there (Not sure how much it would cost to deliver without OHIP- given we may be able to travel in April only, so not sure if 3 months would be completed) What if C-section is needed ? How expensive is it. ? Could you direct me to some websites ?
2. Land in Canada and return home for delivery and sponsor the child via Family class.Any idea how much time sponsorship via family class takes?
3. They are not recommending us to wait until birth of child before we land, as that would require additional documentation, child medicals, medicals for me and spouse again with associated fees

Kindly assist as i am confused on the next steps. Much will depend on the ability of my spouse to travel based on clearance from doctor

Yes, this is possible if your panellist has identified some health issues. Some applicants medicals even take 6 months to complete for the same reason.

so if my medical takes longer than lets say 6 months, what would be the eligibility criteria when my OINP nomination expires on 1st MAY 2018 ??

I don't know the expense of childbirth in Ontario (usually it is $1,500-4,500 for non OHIP*), however, the 1 option is best for child if it doesn't impose risk to child or mother as it will allow the child to get Citizenship by birth to Permanent Resident Parents and will also reduce time for Citizenship for parents (however I don't have any idea of this law but someone told me a while ago).

For 2nd Option, I guess it will take 12 months or more to get child sponsored

For 3rd Option, you will have to add a child to your current application and then IRCC will review the file which may take 3 months from the date all documents are received. In this case, a child will get PR along with Parents.

You will request OINP to extend your nomination due to medicals taking a bit more time. Second, an option is to apply with IRCC before a nomination is expiring and then when IRCC asks for Medicals you can submit the reports and X-Ray test recommended by a panellist. In this case, your file will be delayed however Nomination will be locked and its expiry date will not be an issue anymore.

However, in the past agents have simply rejected some applications for incompleteness while in other cases they have processed applications normally and medicals results are updated at the end of processing.

i have already submitted my application with IRCC actually , is this a bad sign bec if IOM doesnot submit medical results to IRCC, my application can be rejected ??

i dont know how it works in other countries, but in Pakistan, IOM gives you a document as a proof that you have appeared for medical assessment, you attach this document while submitting application to IRCC. I did the same. Rest of the communication is done between IRCC and IOM and we can only have follow up via email/phone that whether the medical results have been submitted to IRCC or not. So thats why i submitted my application to IRCC.

2. Have you seen instances of people getting asked for PCCs even if they've spent less than a month in a country? How common is that?

No, this is not necessary that London will give ADR before giving PPR, however, some applicants are getting this for no specific reason.

1. They only review last 10 Years of Travel History but in very rare cases they may ask for anything beyond 10 Year period.

Thanks Bill. Would you mention some names - which countries are these usually? There are a couple of countries that I've spent around 15-20 days in. Just wondering if I should get PCCs for them ahead of time for a possible ADR. Thanks

It can be any country and there is no specific rule about that. It is on the discretion of agent to ask for such information whenever it is deemed to be important for processing of an application.
