So, I did not receive my CoPR by mail today.

I get mails usually before noon and today mine got delivered right after 11am. No brown envelopes I was waiting for. After I saw some members in Toronto got their mails quite fast, I had my hopes up. That being said, its still very busy time of the year for mail delivery. Tmrw on my interview, I'll explain my situation and try to reschedule the phone interview. Gook luck everyone!
You can call CIC and ask if it was sent.
I have interview tomorrow and have not received it yet. Called CIC and agent said it was sent from montreal on 7th
yet to receive it

I didn't receive COPR before the interview. By the time I receive it, am I considered as PR or not? Or it should be the time of landing?

Thank you!

For anyone else with their phone call scheduled on the 13th today, heads up that nobody has called me. It was scheduled for 8.30-11.30am eastern time so I have been up since 5am in Vancouver. :(

Currently on hold with the call centre to see if I can find out more. The saga continues!

Good luck everybody else.
Okay here's my experience.

8.30-11.30am EST: scheduled phone call, doesn't not arrive
11.30am-12.15 EST: I called CIC to find out info. She said sorry it's a pilot and didn't know why nobody called. Her advice:
  • Respond to the original email again and see if they reschedule something/call later
  • In the meantime she put in a request for a physical appointment at the local Vancouver visa office.
  • If the phone call happens to occur before then, I should call up and cancel the office appointment.
  • The COPR is valid for either option. She did not advise me to return it.
12.30pm EST: Canada immigration call me. This is my interview one hour late!!! She said there was a mixup with time zones and she didn't want to wake me up at 5.30am. I told her I have been waiting by the phone for four hours in the dark :(. Since my spouse had to leave for work she could not conduct the landing without him so suggested keeping the physical appointment.

Extremely annoying but at least I know it is real and we are confirmed now. Also hopefully this helps others who have been misinformed about returning their COPRs that did not arrive on time.

Phew!

I can't believe the call was an hour late! This is very badly organised. If they didn't want to call the West coast at 5.30am then they should arrange appointments later in the day!

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's really useful to know that the COPR is valid for a physical appointment in the local office. Perhaps if anyone else's COPR does not arrive in time then on our calls we should query this and try to get local office appointments?

I called yesterday and the agent told me mine was sent on Dec 7th. I get my mails no earlier than 11am and my interview is 8:30-11:30am. My changes are pretty low here:)

Oh that's too bad. When is your interview scheduled tomorrow? Mine is from 12am so I still hope if I don't receive it today, I might receive it tomorrow morning.

I guess there is still hope!

Good luck! The guy on the phone just said there would be someone else contact you for reschedule. In that case could you please specifically ask him if you keep or send the COPR? It seems everyone else was asked to send it back except for myself.
Thanks! If my phone rings before I have my CoPR in my hands, I will ask the officer since this telephone landing is quite easy to reschedule(I think) and the CoPR needs both the officer's and my signature.

Its tmrw 8:30-11:30am. You mean yours is at 12pm? Check when your mails are normally delivered. Mine usually have been delivered in the afternoon but recently I receive them in the morning!

For people who are planning to do telephone landing, I read some forum members said after the interview, you send the CoPR and when the officer signs your CoPR, you are officially PR.

Yeah I mean 12pm :) There is no rule for me (sometimes it comes in the morning, sometimes afternoon), but they usually come every day. I'm at work now, I'll check when I get back home. Tomorrow I'll work from home and wait in the morning in case it doesn't arrive today. :-/

Your interview is pretty early, let's hope it arrives afternoon. Not sure what to say, I can't believe they decided to lunch pilot program in period of Christmas holidays.

Thank you! It's slowly beginning to sink in and the CIC agent even congratulated me which felt good! There's very little that can go wrong at this stage, but I cannot wait to get that PR card in my hands! :D
