Preparing numbers and arguments from thin air helps no one.

A guy who predicted CRS 470 to be the lower threshold in 2017 using numbers, and then seeing CRS 468 as the highest the cut off ever went in 2017 for a non program specific draw, should realize he is bad at using numbers. So there is going to be a backlash if you simply use numbers and use no logic!

I agree that everybody should try their best to increase their CRS and I feel that's what everybody who wants to achieve this dream is doing right now. The increased CRS cut offs are due to folks increasing their CRS scores and it is not only due to new entrants.
I'm not good at numbers and the statistical analysis. But as far as I understood he was recently talking about the "overheating" phenomenon, which describes current situation better than anything I've recently read from others. This might be proven wrong a later time and I would be glad if it was but strangely enough it seems to be the most plausible explanation right now. I mean, can anybody really defeat today the "overheating" theory by @vensak?

I don't think anybody needs to defeat anything right now.

You can throw numbers and "analysis" all you want but the truth is it may not be significant. To start with, for any statistical forecasting, data used should definitely be up to date or latest in order for it to be as accurate as possible.

I am confused about one thing. I have an experience of 2 years 11 months but when the score is calculated in system, it shows experience of 3 years? Will it cause a problem if I get an ITA within this one month?
Hey express entry calculate your experience based on months and not dates or hours. To be safer if you are scared you can wait till you get 36 months of experience before accepting ita. Once again minimum requirement is 1 year or 12 month period. I hope this helps.

Guys, please help.

While filling for EE, I wrote 40 hours per week for my contract job of 8 months.
However, for 3 weeks I worked less than 40 hours due to holidays (NZ Earthquake, and Vacation) and these were unpaid.

In the referral letter, my manager confirmed that I worked for 40 hours per week during my contract. Will this be an issue?

HI guys,

Is the probablity of having a draw tomorrow? with the Christmas break in the pipeline, what is the chances for having a draw on 20th of December (just 6 days before the christmas day).

Offcourse, this is going to be the last draw of 2017, so there is so much hope connected with this one as we will be seeing some long holidays coming on our way.

From what I read last on cic.
To consider part time jobs too, they now calculate total working hours thereby converting them to years.
Same applies to full time.
1560hours =1 year

8 hours/ day, 5 days a week...

Could you please tell me what is the calculation method....

Also if you know

Does Mutual funds counts as proof of funds?

Thanks,
Bharat

I think your first question is already answered. Regarding mutual funds, its best to show money in primary applicant's account. However you can also show joint accounts with your spouse as your proof of funds. The dependent needs to write a notarized letter saying primary applicant can utilize the joint funds for immigration and settlement in Canada without any objection from the dependent. Its like a letter to provide financial support with no objection. keep in mind that if the joint account is with anyone other than your accompanying spouse, you can't show it.

We actually did this and we didn't have any issue with the PPR.

Best of luck!!!

Dear Seniors,
This is an awesome forum, with high positive spirit, which has helped me to keep my Canadian dream alive.Having come across this forum in July,I am going through the ray of posts religiously. Now I am preparing for ielts. While preparing for the test,I am also checking the documents which would be required later, and one such document is the Experience letter.Mostly my company will give the letter in the company letter head ,mentioning date of joining and other basic details ,however I doubt it will agree to mention my roles and responsibilities. However one of my colleague who is 2 years seniors to me has agreed to help me and,he is one level senior to me.I am having 9 years of exp and he is 11.

My question is how many level up, the person should be to issue/sign for roles and responsibilities letter.Does CIC accepts if the person who is issuing is immediate supervisor and just one level up in the organisation. In case this is not the right forum to ask this please someone let me know the link to the right forum.

Hello dear,
Firstly, let me say I am sorry to hear you had to decline your ITA and since than you are waiting to get another one. I truly hope you get your golden ITA soon.
But I have to say even though I don’t know andiangel closely I am sure that nothing wrong with her.. I believe she has a very gentle kind heart... I feel this from her posts... please do consider words can be hurtful to people’s heart..
I see what your point is... but still that doesn’t justify your statement...
I only write this to you because her and other seniors posts helped me a lot when I needed most...

Lastly I wish you all the good luck and PPR ...
Thank you @Pikecann for your kind words it truly means a lot! I wish you and everyone else good luck and speedy PPR! This whole process is mentally and emotionally challenging, we have to stay focused and supportive of each other. Everything that we are going through here is preparing us for a road a head in Canada! It will be worth it!

Happy holidays everyone, may all of us be blessed with ITA and soon afterwards safe landing!

:)

If your dependent spouse is accompanying you, you can also show their individual accounts along with an affidavit from the spouse specifying that they are allowing you to use the funds for immigration to Canada whenever you need.
