I was wondering if it is any use to call the IRCC call centre if you haven't received your GCMS notes within the 30 day period. I sent the ATIP office an email after 31 days to inquire about the status of my notes. It has been 2 days and I have not heard anything from them. I am not sure how long I have to wait for a response, so I thought I would find out first if anyone knows if IRCC would be able to give me info on when I might get my notes.

Thanks!

This happened to me when I first ordered notes in May; my notes were delayed by 2 months (I got them in July); ATIP usually responds to the email inquiry within 5 business days and they will let you know what the hold up is! Also, eventually they will say they are going to create a priority ticket for the GCMS notes and after that you will get the notes within 2-5 days.

There's no point in contacting the call centre; they can't do much in relation to the status of your GCMS notes; Just wait for ATIP to reply to your email.

Thanks! I didn't think calling IRCC would help, but at this point I am frustrated and don't want to sit around doing nothing. I guess I will just have to be more patient and hope they contact me by the end of the week.

I finally got mine yesterday. Ordered them in August. It came 36 days after ordering them.

Im a March 2017 inland applicant and mostly everything in my notes says "not started " so was a waste of time ordering even if im 6 months into process now.

That's surprising, are you inland or outland?

Some people have said that even when it says "Not started" in the notes, they may actually have looked at it. If they don't find anything alarming or red flags, it remains in that status, so maybe it is a good thing so far that you don't see any notes about any reviews required.

My eligibility also said it was "not started" in my last set of notes which was also at about the 6 month mark, however, the following week or 2 after I ordered my notes and had my MP make an inquiry with IRCC, they told me that my eligibility review had started.

Maybe wait another 2 months and order them again to see what kind of progress they have made. Good luck!

I requested my notes on July 30th and 36 days later got this email:

Dear XXXXX;

This is further to your request under the Access to Information Act, which was received on July 31, 2017, for the following records:

the application, supporting documents and correspondences sent to and/or from IRCC for the family class immigration file concerning XXXXX

I wish to inform you that, in accordance with the Access to Information Act, an extension of 60 days beyond the statutory 30 day limit is necessary to process your request. This extension is required in order to undertake consultations that are necessary to comply with the request that cannot reasonably be completed within the original time limit.

That was so frustating!

OMG! That is horrible! This is also my fear, that they make you wait another month just to get back to you. They don't even tell you why exactly they need 60 more days. It kind of defeats the purpose. Hang in there, hopefully you will get your notes in a few weeks.

I ordered ATIP notes on September 15th and still haven't received them.
I inquired about it on October 24th and got this email a month later.

"We acknowledge that your request is now overdue. According to our records, your request was due on October 16th 2017.

We have flagged your request as priority and the information will be forwarded to you as soon as possible."
