I just still can't believe that it has been for over two years since ONIP...... It is like a dream now
No matter how "sweet" the dream is, we will wake up sooner or later. meanwhile, let's do our best to keep our lives going in the best way we can manage.
OK. Just called IRCC,
No surprise, background check in progress....
They extend my ME for another year, it valid till Nov 2018 now. This might be a good news.
One thing I don't understand is, she said nothing she could do now. But by Feb 2018, if decision is still not made, they can do something. Not sure what is "something", contact CBSA?

I think the call center lady is not sure what is "something" neither.
IRCC will never contact CBSA to push our application forward. They will just wait.
I have a theory, only time could tell if this is true or not that, CIC had used out the quota of this year and allocate our PNP PR admission quota to refugee, therefore, there is no PR admission for PNP SS-pending group in 2017. We will have to wait until 2018 new quota to be released.
Almost the same amount as of PNP. And PNP admission of this year have already exceeded the target of this year.

This would explain why my friend has been in PACE state in Ottawa since August, but still no DM or PPR
