I haven't seen any of the above o. Its 38 days today. Although they asked me to pay right of pr in between.
I guess that's why it's delaying like this ... I submitted updated schedule a form in between and they requested for police certificate last week,so I'm waiting as well.My passport has been with AVO since on the 13th nov

I was at a conference in Ottawa the past two days on how to transform the public sector. One of the speakers was a director from IRCC. He wasn't directly related to permanent resident applications. But he talked about the significant increase in visa applications from a few countries in particular - China and India being up about 10%.

What he did say that I found interesting though is that the minister had told them that their priority is to decrease processing times and clear the backlog. I know it won't come in an overnight fix but it's good to know that it's a genuine priority to make changes.

Hello everyone. My husband was refused a study visa/study permit 2 years ago based on "lack of sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay tuition fees for program of studies that you intend to pursue" & "lack of sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain self during proposed period of stay." This was all before we got married this past May. In the schedule A form, it asks if you've ever been refused admission into Canada or refused immigrant, visitor, or permanent resident visa.. do any of these apply to his case? None specify refusal of study visa. I am now getting a little worried based on what happened to @HisAma (by the way, I'm so sorry dear. God is our healer and he will never forsake His children. All things worketh for good for those who love Him). Has anyone had a similar experience of being denied a student visa then applying for Spousal Sponsorship later on? Does this negatively impact our application?

Thank you roaming spirit,
I think its time to knock on the door of the ministers office. Family pettition in USA is about six months. Even the so called india and china has much shorter waiting time for similar kind of application unlike ours. Its time to politely and persistently pray them to make our family spirit one. Staying apart is killing.
Please can anyone send me the ministers email?

Student visa refusal count and all one needs to write is "yes" and state the reasons. Saying yes does not have negative impact on sponsorship application but saying no is like misrepresentation. In any case its better to correct any mistake before they detect it themselves.

Have you applied for the spousal sponsorship yet? if you have kindly provide your time line? Also I would advise you to update the form schedule A form 5669 with a letter explaining the error on your part and send it in to CIC.

on the form question 6 E stated " Have you or if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application in Canada ever been refused admission to or ordered to leave Canada or other countries?
so it should be yes for you in this case.

I have a question guys*****

On the schedule A questionnaire 6 E
have you, principal applicant, any your family members listed in your application for PR in Canada ever,

On question E ..aside from your principal applicant and or accompanying dependents do they also mean "family member" listed under additional family members ....

what if you don't know any of those family members of the principal applicant such as mother or father or sisters ever applied for visa and were refused?
what do you do in this case
and I want to know that question who does it pertain to specifically the principal applicant only and or dependent or does it include any family member listed in the entire application

Family members classified as:
An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application to CIC. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

He has to tick yes and explain that his study permit to Canada was denied on so so date. I was denied twice myself about 3 months before we got married because my husband and I decided that we would start an inland application when I start my course in Canada so it seemed like a huge red flag but in our cover letter for the application we mentioned it and explained that we wanted to be in the same country which is why we decided to do my PG in Canada but I was unfortunately denied twice. I've gotten PPR without an interview so everything depends on all the other evidence of relationship you present. If you hide that denial, that's the first thing they will see and it will become a problem for you
