Our application for family class - other relative has been pending at the MVO. We submitted out initial application in Canada last June 2016. Files were forwarded to MVO Aug 2016. Initial documents requested were submitted last Nov 2016 and second documents requested including original NBI last April 2017. We have not received any update from MVO as of the moment. Is anyone also in this situation and provide a timeline? Thanks!

"Other relative" apps are very uncommon, as the requirements are quite strict, so you are unlikely to find anyone on here in the same situation. If you want information on your app, you should order your GCMS notes.

Is your sponsor's situation still the same today? i.e. they have no spouse, no kids, no family in Canada, and their parents are not living anywhere in the world?

Yes, sponsor is still unmarried, no children or girlfriend and both parents are deceased.

I did see online that the processing takes 28 months. Right now we are at 17 months.

We are now in 2023 so I have two question
How long IRCC takes to reply on your case ?
And when they replied, did they ask you to do interview in the embassy?!
