My MP’s office contacted immigration on my behalf and was told today Ottawa hasn’t received our file yet (email Jamaica and they don’t have it yet) however she was told that if it stays in Ottawa it means it’s an easy file and would process rather quickly however if it goes back to Jamaica my husband could very well be interviewed again and they could possible deny on other grounds?!?!

Anyone ever hear anything like this where someone was reinterviewed after winning appeal?

I’m praying our file stays here in Ottawa for quick turn around. She said she will contact them again in 2 weeks to check. She said sometimes when it shows MP’s office inquiry it speeds things up.

That's very crazy....another interview in Jamaica? Why?

They said they could? I’m thinking the same? But with CIC nothing surprises me. Hoping it stays in Ottawa and is proceeds with easy

Dont worry it will be send to Ottawa for sure....lets pray and keep our fingers cross

All I wanted to know is the approximate wait time between submitting updated forms to passport request :)
We submitted our updated forms August 1. DM august 10. But ppr Oct 4. After we won appeal May 9.

I guess I'm in the boat with everyone else that is in for the long haul. My appeal is going to full hearing. Ontario needs to do something about this backlog. 2 years is a long time to wait for a hearing date. :(
The 2 years for us was unreal. Couldn't make it go faster either. All we got told was sorry the wait is so long.
Just keep visiting. Make your case stronger.

My husband and I won our appeal on May 9th. Ottawa received the file, emailed us June 5. Yes Ottawa is faster I'd say. Yes I have heard of ppl getting interviewed twice. Ismaeel on here I believe had it haopen. They were refused. He appealed & won. Interviewed again. Refused and now is getting an adr.

On what grounds were they denied the second time? They can’t be denied on the same grounds. I’m hoping our PPR doesn’t take 5 months, our whole process from start to denial only took that. Why is this process wrong on so many levels?!?

hello guys, We win our ADR on last week of September 2017.Our file is now in Singapore office, now waiting for medical request , could u tell me How many days dose it usually take to get a updated form and medical request after change the online status to ''in process''? our online status shows in process since 22nd Nov 2017

A question, what if sponsor get his/her citizenship just 10 days before final hearing?
Does it effect the hearing?
