Hey, I guess I could use some help if possible about what I should do ?. My post graduate work permit was refused. I graduated from Seneca College in April and I applied for my post graduate work permit on July 31st which they received by aug 2nd . I was told that the reason for the rejection was that I didn’t apply within 90 days of completion. What should I do now? What are the options I have ?
Thank you

Unfortunately do not think you have any options as you appear to have applied too late. Why did you leave it so late did you not get your completion/graduation letter until end July ?

No my study permit was expiring in April so I applied for extension in March but I received my study permit in July. So I had to wait until July to submit my application.

They have given me 90 days to restore my status. So my immigration advisor from college is saying the best option I have is go back to school for one more year and then apply again. Do you think that is an option ?
Thank you for the reply

If you failed to apply for your PGWP within 90 days of completing your studies - I don't think you have any options for obtaining a study permit for those studies.

Yes - you can return to school for another year or more and complete an additional college program. Once you complete that program, you will qualify for a PGWP based on the length of the second program.

But he was telling me that since I have done a 2 year program and if I do one more year of education I can qualify for 2 year post graduate work permit. So that I not true ?

If you complete a 2 year program then you will qualify for a 3 year PGWP. However your studies have to be continuous. If you completed your program in April and start a new program in January - I'm not sure CIC will see that as continuous studies (the break between programs may be too long). Also, you still have to restore your status and obtain a new study permit. This process can take several months to complete and as of now, it's not certainly you'll be able to start school again in January (you may have to wait until May).
