I

would be 8-10 points less if my spouse's wes is not done. I have fingers crossed for tomorrow's ielts results.
So how you calculated your points. With Max IELTS (CLB 10) or CLB 9.

There is no time to be in the pool to get an ITA. Once you are in the pool and you meet or pass the cutoff then you are fine. The only time the duration/time in the pool comes to play is if your score is the same as the crs draw cutoff, then the tie breaker rule comes to play. So consideration will based on those who submitted their profile on or before a certain time.
Thanks a lot. Further, I would like to know wes evaluation is mandatory for my spouse in Canada to find a job or so?
(I understand that not doing his Wes will reduce that much points but apart from the points criteria is it anyhow necessary from any other perspective?)

Yes, it will be necessary when she moves to Canada. Because the recruiting company will want to evaluate her education in respect to the Canadian education and the only way this can be done is through WES. This will help the company with their recruitment process especially in analysing her skills.

Dear Friend,

You won't be able to claim points for your wife's ECA but you can be in the pool. And if your score in the pool meets the crs cut off, you will get your ITA and you can go ahead and process without having to wait for her ECA. You wouldn't need it any more be
Thanks. And if my spouse's ECA is completed, will it reflect automatically in the application created or do I need to manually update in the application filed?

What if without my spouse's wes also, if I fall within cut off what then? Will I receive ITA or still have to wait for his wes completion?

This arises my another doubt, whether my spouse's WES is mandatory if I am getting enough points myself? Will it affect anyhow to him while getting a job in Canada or in any other scenario if his wes is not done?
If you have a high
I do disagree with this. My friend got his ITA while they were still awaiting his wife's ECA from WES. The only thing is you can't claim points for her education but you can be in the pool.

Oh! My apologies. True. Please guys, disregard my previous comment. Talk2jt........you Nigerian?

Actually I tried to create a dummy profile to see how much my crs stands with and without my spouse's wes. You can try out here.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Further, below URL also gives details of scoring points. So maximum points of spouse's education is 10(which would be in PH.D I guess).
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

Based on this, if you are lacking you can plan to improve your ielts score to increase the CRS score.

If you haven't received ITA by the time it is completed, you will have to go and update your profile and input it. But if you have received ITA you can't edit your profile again but can decide to include it in your post ITA documentation.

Hi guys.i need your suggestion. My crs score is 404 and 425 with and without my wife respectively . And what more I can't enhance my score. It's already maximum be it experience or ielts etc. My masters is considered one year diploma or otherwise score could have been 432 :(. With 425 I could be in with a chance:) to get an ITA in near future. Now I wonder in case I get an ITA:D at score of 425 having EE profile without her, will they(officials)allow her to enter in canada at a later stage. I am in bit of dilemma what should I do. Appreciate your valuable feedback.
Thanks

Even I don't know much details, but I too had a dilemma and what I came to know is later it can be more complex for her. You might have to go with sponsorship or something and that too after some time I guess. So it is a bit risky and hence I opted out with that option. You can increase your ielts score, a minimum of 7 in speaking, reading and writing, and listening 8 . try that on CIC website and see if it makes some difference. If so, you can improvise your score with ielts.

I beg to differ.

Increase in a minimum wage won't lead to job loss. Though am not an expert , am well aware that an economy is a cycle. People need money to purchase , once attained they are more susceptible to purchase which was also emphasized in the article. Certain items which once wasn't affordable to low wage employees becomes affordable now , which directly proportionate to increase in purchase power thus gives the upward curve in an economy. In order for the country to thrive, there should be constant flow of cash between people and companies. If the cash flow witness any block, there would be collapse. If you cut the jobs, then less people would be afford to buy goods, hence the economy would tend to deteriorate sooner than later.

There is also a possibility that companies will increase the price of the product citing this wage structure, hence job losses again gets nullified.
Canada is not the only country which witnessed the increase in minimum wage structure. Just a google search will give you the list of countries which raised the bar and their employment opportunities still remains unperturbed.

If you are not convinced with my opinions I can understand it's because of my juvenile knowledge on the subject :):). But you can be certain that, there were profound people out there who very well realize that job losses would cause certain inflation. I believe, the Canadian government wouldn't want that.

Stay optimistic. ;);)
I admire your optimism. And of course we all want to get higher pay cheques, but I'm one of the critics lol. Plus I'm not supporter of Kathleen Wynne for some nasty things she has done.
Anyway, wage hikes followed by goods prices. At the end, workers suffer the most. But I do want to see the good things happen. Let's say I think too much.

My IELTS score will be coming out on 24th Nov (tomorrow), and based on that if my CRS turns out to be 450 (as I expect), and if I create an express entry application on 25th Nov, will I be eligible to be selected in the draw on 29th Nov(if it happens as is speculated). From what I assume, CRS is going down to 430 and if I have 450, will I be selected in 4 days time span only or there is some time one needs to wait in the pool?

U will be in on 29th.
