In presence calculator if I file in this Nov it says I should provide absences from Nov 2012 till the filing date. But at that time, I left Canada in Aug 2012 so should I put Aug 2012 in the calculator and go back a little according to my ticket date of departure from Canada in 2012, would that be correct?
or I should start from Nov 2012 according to the calculator and not worry about the departure date ?

You should start from Nov 2012.

when in application asking about passport dates, they say there should not be a gap but the case is old passport from Pakistan expires in Nov 2012 and the new was issued in April 2013 so there is a gap, at that time I was staying in Pakistan and didn't need the passport for any travelling so may be that's why went a little late for renewing passport. Should I give the reason for the gap if yes, what should I say in there ? or is it normal so I should just put in the dates of passports that's it?

You should write an explanation letter stating that you weren't expecting travel in near future therefore you didn't apply to renew your passport. If there is any other reason please state that truthfully.

In Q14 a) Tell us about passport covering your eligibility period.

In my eligibility period I had two Indian passports. Old one was before marriage that got cancelled after name change and new passport was issued. For my old passport when I mention expiry date as June 2019 for new passport expiry date Aug 2023. After looking at table of expiry dates, it gave me an impression as if I'm carrying two passport as both of them are showing date that is yet to be expired. How to handle this situation?

Also for old passport the expiry date would be the date it got cancelled or the expiry date that is mentioned when passport was issued. I'm very confused about the old passport expiry date.

I believe, you should fill in the actual expiry date with an explanation letter stating the reason of cancellation of old passport and the cancellation date.

Hello All.

Thank you for this forum.

I have a question. Our citizen application was received on the November 6, 2017, but I just realized that I did not write our names on the back of the passport size photographs. Do you thick that this will mean our application could be returned? What do I have to do?

Regards

One of my colleague applied for citizenship for herself and for her daughter and forgot to write names on the back of the photos. Their application were returned.

One of the parent should apply for 2 minors so both applications can go together without any issue. If one of the parent is alsy paying fee for 3 adults then all applications go together with on fee payment receipt. A short explanation letter might also help in favour of all application together.

I won't suggest to apply for mother unless she has a proof of English language. Please go through the following to see if she falls in one of the category for language skills:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/language.asp

If she falls then apply otherwise I suggest to wait.

I hope this will help.
- oh, okay yeah parent was thinking of paying but I thought each adult should pay from their own card, but I think as we applying as siblings, it should be paid together that would be better,
- secondly, what should be mentioned in the short letter that parents are not applying together with children due to ineligibility.
is it correct? what other information should I include in the letter? how lengthy should it be?

Paying fee by parent depends on family situation and adult children earning situation. If adult children are studying or not in financial position to pay fee then it make sense that parent pay the fee and write an explanation letter of attaching one payment receipt for all children.

I don't think so that parents or any child needs to clarify why parents aren't applying with children because applying citizenship is a personal choice and a person may opt not to apply for citizenship even that person is eligible.

I am living in Canada since 2013, and went for 3 to 4 trips since then till now, and some trips were 60 days long, I mentioned those in permanent residency renewal application with address where I stayed. But in citizenship what should be done?
I am thinking of just mentioning my address in Canada since 2013 till the filing date, as those were only trips I didn't change my address during those days officially, and in presence calculator I am giving all the exact dates for trips for correct days calculation.
Is that correct which makes my previous PRC renewal application information and citizenship address information looks different from each other. But it is the correct way right?

Okay, Thanks for the clarification.
By the way, if one of the adults is working and he can pay but still if a parent choose to pay for all children, that's even okay right?

Hello,
I submitted my family application last week but forgot to put photographer name and details on the back of photos. What should I do? Should I send pictures again or wait for CIC response.
Thanks

Anyone can pay the fee; there is no restriction as far as IRCC is concerned.
