Make sure you have answers to all the questions in the blue book where the interview notes are. That’s all they touched on...lots of why this and why that? It’s very informal and they allow you to ask questions as well

Good luck to you!
Yesss I am so happy for you!!!!!!. Gosh gives me a lot of hope

In my notes the Officer stated that my husband was:

1.Unable to give a title of a book i read
2. How much money i made at a previous job
3. He didnt go into enough details as to how our relationship developed after neeting. So right now im very unsure as to how answer those

I appealed in June 2017 and received my bluebook in October and it had about 80 pictures of our engagement, honeymoon, wedding and our travels with the medical teams and pics of us with it included my itineraries and some chats. Do you think that we might hear from iad by January 2018? Thank u.
I'm not sure... I would like to be hopeful. I received by bluebook end of August. Haven't heard anything from IAD as yet regarding ADR...

That is so petty of the officer to actually put that he didn't know the title of a book you read!! Like seriously... during an interview there are more important things that you are trying to remember and not slip on. lol. I'm sure some of these visa officers don't know a book their spouse or partner have read. haha

If you give them the answers that are in the application just to confirm I am sure they won't harp on it. The biggie is the development of your relationship. Make sure you explain in detail (initial meeting, maintenance and future plans)...highlighting the little details and common things that you and your husband might do together as communication.

I have read some cases on Canlii where people were honest and said that they messed up or they were nervous without addressing the officers petty concerns. No relationship is perfect is what they seem to forget...but we are on the shitty end of the stick to paint them that picture.
You will be fine and you will win!

Wtf a title of a book? Mine was mostly the brief answers but I told them that I know he answered more detailed than the office wrote and pointed out the obvious mistakes. He said they didn’t look at the little details. I said well the little details prove that the officer made mistakes, so who’s to say she didn’t write things my husband said. In the end, the agreed my marriage wasn’t entered into for a visa, that we know each other and my son is close to my husband

How much time did they take to make the decision? did you have your counsel with you? and what location was it at? am so curious, as I have mine on Dec 6, 2017 at 1pm.

My whole interview was about 40 mins from start to finish. I did the interview alone, mine was via videoconference with Montreal appeal office! Just know your answers and be confident in what you say! Good luck

Just be confident and speak your mind. They give you time to ask questions so that’s when you tell them your concerns about what the officer asked or wrote. Mine was all based on the interview. They didn’t ask me anything about my husband or his family or anything to do with his childhood etc. They questioned why some of his family didn’t attend the wedding, and I was honest they couldn’t afford it
