Hi please I got a visa from an agent. I sent my passport to him for the visa process. Please I want to know what I can do to ensure that the visa is not fake. How can I verify this visa is not fake. Thanks

What kind of visa is it? How much money did you pay in exchange for getting the visa?

He says it's work visa for unskilled workers.
I paid 500$ for processing then will pay 2000$ upon getting into Canada as per him
He says he have connected me to a company in Canada who will provide me with a job. The company will buy my flight to Canada. Once I get to Canada I will have to pay him the 2000$ and for the next six months as I join the company.

Obviously a fake. You can't get a work permit without a job offer and a approved LMIA.

He provided a form of the LMIA. Stating the contract, benefits, wages, working hours and lot more.
He also provided me with another form "visa grant notice" carrying a date of application, TRN, Application id, file number and applicant details ( of course which is mine).
With all these details is there anything I can do to ensure that this is visa is not fake. I will need to resign from my job because of this program and more also I will be traveling with my wife. She too got same visa from same person. It will be of big impact to us if it turns out to be fake. Can the Embassy be of help or can it be verified by Air Canada, or at airport.
Please I need some help here.

So what exactly is the job stated in the contract that as an unskilled job the company are even paying for your flights. Are they also promising accomodation and maybe even paid vacation flights home ? Your wife has the same visa so does she have the same job offer for the same job ? Plus whats this about paying something for 6 months after you join this company ?

I am a health and safety engineer while my wife is a science teacher. As per the LMIA, I have 15 days paid leave and a six days paid sick leave. Flight and accommodations were not mentioned in the LMIA but he told me verbally as we were talking along the whole process.
At the moment he is offering me a job as a security officer till am able to get myself settle in Canada and get a health and safety job. According to him this may take me six months and above because Canadian employers will prefer someone with Canadian experience/certified. Within this period I may sort myself out.
My wife too will be getting a job within a school environment maybe not directly as a teacher but with time we can sort ourselves out into our desire jobs.

It's a scam. Sorry. We see this story here often.

No employer is going to cover flight and accommodation costs for a security officer job. This simply doesn't happen.

Thanks for your reply. So what do you advise to go forward. What can I do to ensure it's authenticity.

Maybe contact your future employer directly without obviously letting the agent know you plan to do so. Getting an LMIA for a security officer job seems pretty far fetched that there are no locals available. Also suggest anyway you investigate the requirements for your wife to work in a school both medical clearance and qualification assessment.

Good day. In regards to the fake visa from the fake agent, I went with the picture he sent to me along with the LMIA and the contract he provided to the Doha International Airport to seek for help if they are able to varify the visa because I didn't want to take any chances before engaging into any travel plan. The immigration police after about two hours came and took me into their office for questioning. According to them, they sent the picture of the supposed visa to Canada immigration service and they reply them as the visa was fake. I also read the one word reply "fudge" that was sent back to them.
Yesterday he fake agent sent back the passports to me via DHL. He actually carefully pull out the sticker from the passport causing very little damage to the passport.
My fear now is after the immigration officer sent the "supposed visa" to the immigration office of Canada will I charged for holding a fudged visa?
Can this have any issue with any future attempt to either apply for Canada visa or enter Canada? Because the immigration officer told me it may give me problem with immigration services in Canada. Please I want to know if so what I need to do to clear myself from this. Firstly I was not traveling I was only going there to varify. Please can you give me an advice on what to do?
Thanks
