After 15.5 months of waiting since AOR (June 28, 2016) and 12.5 months in security screening I finally received golden email today.
CSIS finished screening in just one day, rest of ss was with CBSA. No movement, no changes no additional docs request, only silence for 15.5 months. My medicals were extended by CIC, and today email came. Good luck people, hope noone will ever experience this torture.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I really hope things are smooth sailing from here on for you!

Yes. Mid Jun 2017. Contacted them directly.
How did you contact CBSA directly mid June? You mean through atip? How did you know they completed late Aug?

My theory is CBSA starts processing after you send CBSA atip request. Blanka and me both sent request beginning of July and both our ss completed this week (mid oct). You contacted them mid June and SS completed late Aug. All these prove my theory so far.

That's why I requested the atip. In fact I worded the request to make sure they start working on it so that the atip can be generated.

imagine for Blanka from 30 Sep 2016 till July 2017 CBSA didn't initiate anything most probably :(. For me I lost three months as my CSIS completed 7 April and I sent CBSA atip 1 July after I got my CSIS. I ordered CSIS April 18th and got it end of June. I should have ordered both CSIS and CBSA the same time.

Guys, as you know I contacted many weeks ago the MP (who is lawyer as well) from my city. He called me yesterday. He told me that he contacted CBSA and the officer confirmed him that CBSA completed my Security Screening very short time ago and sent already my file to IRCC. The officer told moreover that now the entire security screening is completed and the MP should contact IRCC for any further updates. He will contact IRCC next week.
I was shocked that he called me personally. We talked around 15 minutes and he said he is expecting that I would get PR in a short time. He mentioned, I was lucky because the CBSA officer said him that SS of some applicants have reached 24 months line.
I am very happy (now I cannot imagine how happy people become after getting their golden email!) and am also a bit confused. I guess CBSA would not provide false info to an MP, am I right?
What do you think how long does it take to get PPR after security screening is completed?
I am looking forward to your feedback.

Best,

Matt

Have you ever contacted CBSA through atip before yourself? when? We almost has same CSIS dates and my husband's security is also passed recently. I know from an email which was sent to me by Ankara on Monday and he got re-medical email:
It may take another 2 months. Flying bird passed security late Aug and is still waiting for medical extension, etc. Is your medical still valid or extended already?

"Thank you for your message.

The Embassy recently received the results from the Other Government Department. Please note that this response does not come directly into our system from CSIS and therefore we did not receive it until now.

The security activity for this file has now been passed.

As the medical activity has expired, new medical instructions were issued. Please advise only if you do not receive the medical instructions.

Sincerely,

Immigration Section"

I contacted them and asked GCMS notes (through Privacy Act online system) on 12 July. After a month they sent me a letter saying they need more time. They never contacted me ever since.

I see I think that request of July 12 worked. Blanka and me sent CBSA atip request July 1st too and recently passed security. but it is strange they didn't send you the notes. They generally send it after 60-70 days. In my case they sent me in 30 days end of July. Blanka got it in 60 days. I have 4 persons which prove my theory of CBSA starts working after you send atip request you, Blanka, Flying_bird and my husband.

Do you mean both Bianca and you passed security at this point?
And do you believe this happened because you guys contacted CBSA?
There is only one question: there are also other people that have contacted CBSA through ATIP however they have not received any progress yet.
On the other hand:
I am glad that SS is over now. I would like to get any written confirmation though.
So, what do you think how much longer do we need to wait till PPR?
What is the processing time between completed SS and PPR? Any idea?
