I checked on Oct-12 they are processing application received around 17-July as of now, the wait keeps getting longer

They send you update on your case and tell you dates they are opening these days
It is very responsive email address and the you get a response generally in 24hrs

My application reached FBI on July 14th and I called today to check the status. The lady asked my name and said it wasn't showing in the system and I should call by the end of this week.
Do you guys know what does that mean? Does it take time to show up in the system after they have opened the package?

Called today. The FBI are opening packages received July 19. (Ours was!)
They couldn't find ours when we gave our name which was odd - so they told us to call back on Wednesday. This might mean it will take Friday, Monday, and Tuesday to open all of the packages delivered July 19.
I will provide an update when I have more information next week on Wednesday.
