Hi

I applied for paper based pr. Received my aor in may 2017. I am planning to do upfront medical. Can u explain how medical thing works. Does the doctors sends medical report to ircc or do they give us something to send.

Just do it. You go to doctor and ask them to do upfront. They sent it to cic on their own and give you a recipt to upload. That recipt has a UMI number. The same umi number on your med results sent to CIC by doctor. Once you get the recipt by the doctor, you come home and upload that on CSE. That information gets added to your file.( you will recieve a mail saying that) then when its your turn for medical, they will check and find it from the pool of other medical results based on UMI and will not send you medical request. Do it around close of one year, atleast you have one less thing to worry about. Then once your upfront medical is done. you just has to wait thats it.

My time line

Applied on April 14 2016 ONIP
medicals on May 2
decision made on Oct 3


I am expecting PPR soon but i have plans to go to India for Vacation from nov 16 to dec 10 i have booked the tickets as well.
If i receive a PPR in between can i extend the PPR deadline to submit the passport ? if so can anyone suggest me whom i should contact and documents should should i need to provide for the extension.

I applied on Sep 12. Hoping to get it tomorrow. However, last time it took longer than 30 days.

I also applied on sept 12, please update when you guys receive it .

From my experience, please check email for PPR. My CIC and ECAS doesn't say anything. Still shows background in process while I received my PPR on Oct 10. Please make sure to check spam and inbox both. Do not rely on MY CIC OR ECAS
