"I don't agree with your wording. Giving someone advice to tell off their MIL is not good. This will only lead to more problems in their life and marriage." You are entitled to your opinion, I to mine. The member can decide for themselves what they want to do in this situation.
"Do educated women not cook and do housework for their husbands and kids ?? Do you keep servants for this in Canada for housework ?" Happily married couples share the burden of finances and house chores, whether they are Pakistani couples or Canadian. You just equated a woman to a domestic servant and yet you think my stance on these things is questionable but you have it all figured out! Also we do you have companies who can send cleaning staff once a week to the house if the family can afford it.
No wonder divorce rates are high now cuz of lack of patience/respect and tit-for-tat fighting in families. The success of a marriage shouldn't only depend on the woman bending over backwards and not living her life to the fullest. Men also have an obligation to make their married life a success.
Why are these girls going to pakistan to marry if they have too many obligations/loans/jobs/study and can't leave Canada for a little while? People marry because they are in love and want a family together. Also both men and women willingly enter into this union so Pakistani boys can opt out of Canadian immigration and just marry someone local who their mothers would approve of.
If they're "not pakistani" as you say, then really shouldn't be marrying with someone from Pakistan. Great advice.
