It looks like Mississauga is doing my BGC, but Ottawa is processing my eligibility.
Heres why I think so:
-My fingerprints from RCMP went bad, so I was requested to send more to,
Please send the documents/information to the address listed below:

CPC Mississauga - FCPAPR
PO BOX 6100, Station A
Mississauga, ON L5A 4H4

-Then in the update from my MP, it says the eligibility for common law is taking place in Ottawa.
So is it possible both offices are working on our application?

Divide and conquer?
What am I, The US government?

Really though I'm not sure. I'm wondering if we're towards the end of this; because, why would they do our BGC if we're not eligible for PR.
Plus, it just said something about how the correct office is processing eligible blah blah common-law blah blah in Ottawa.
So I'm kind of hoping we're apart of the OB570 batch. there's someone on here who's requested the OB570 info, and as of yesterday they're late and he's sent off a compaint. :D

Oh dear.. Looks like we're looking at least at 2 months for movement after DM...Looking at the spreadsheets, no one from CPC-M has been requested any passports or sent coPR. You need to go back to February to find an Ottawa VO with request for passports after DM, and that was 15 days. It's all a bit random..

Looking at the consolidated spreadsheet today, it appears everyone who applied in April who listed Mississauga as their visa office now has DM. :) Hopefully May will soon follow suit. Even though no PPRs, at least it is progress...

Did you get DM? Yah, ECAS still says "Application received" for most of us Mississauga folks.

Thanks! I'm a little worried atm, because the Dr for my medical put the wrong country on the form, saying I was from Ireland.

Anyone able to say how long they waited between DM and a confirmation email/letter?

Application received: May 9th 2017
Sponsorship approval: June 12th
"VO" (Mississauga): August 29th
Medical request: September 1st
Medical completed: September 9th
Medical passed: September 11th
When did you get your AOR1? Did your Background Check status also change to "processing" the same day you got DM? This seems to be the case with lots of Mississauga folks.

My background check started today "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

Slowly but steadily?... If Ottawa VO still needs to issue the final docs I wonder if we're looking at 3+ months after it gets sent out to Ottawa. Apparently they are totally overwhelmed...
Were you able to send them the FBI PCC?

It seems like many of you have been waiting for 3+ weeks for your passport request after getting DM. I understand that Mississauga doesn't do PPR and issue CoPR and that the application is then sent to Ottawa (and in one case, Buffalo NY) for that, but it doesn't warrant a month long wait for PPR after getting DM. How hard is it to just send out an email for PPR? This is supposed to be the easiest part of the whole process for CIC.

Mississauga from what I understand isn't a Visa Office, so I would guess that they do not have the systems in place to properly issue the visas that get put in the passport. So rather than train the staff for this element and implement the systems, it gets "outsourced" to offices that are already equipped with the tools and knowledge to do so.

Remember, we're also still in the transition period where IRCC wants to clear the backlog of 2016 applicants, and make sure that new applicants are processed within the 12-month target. So it's my guess that CPC-M is taking on more cases right now and doing more "in-house" at the moment, but that it's not how the process will ultimately run.

As to why it takes the visa offices so long to issue requests, I can only speculate that they too are working at capacity or with backlogs, so it just takes some time to make sure everything is done right; and all applications are treated fairly. It's not just about sending out an e-mail for PPR. The visa has to be created and will have to be ready to go. We are all impatient, but we often also forget that there's so much more that goes on behind the scenes and it might not be as straightforward as we all imagine.

Yes I'm aware of this. In fact, I think most of us who are being processed in Mississauga know this since this is the first time that Mississauga is doing late stage processing post SA. Hence why I said "I understand that Mississauga doesn't do PPR and issue CoPR and that the application is then sent to Ottawa (and in one case, Buffalo NY).."

Remember, we're also still in the transition period where IRCC wants to clear the backlog of 2016 applicants, and make sure that new applicants are processed within the 12-month target. That makes sense but wouldn't 2016 applications be processed in their respective VOs (based on the PA's nationality/ residence). The first batch of emails stating that Mississauga would continue processing their application was sent out as recently August 29, 2017.

We are all impatient, but we often also forget that there's so much more that goes on behind the scenes and it might not be as straightforward as we all imagine.
Oh yah I definitely agree with you. As much as I want to be with my husband, I am completely patient with the process and willing to wait till June 2018 cuz I know its a tedious and complicated process and I only applied recently. I just sympathize with the Feb/March Mississauga folks who after getting AOR1, ScheduleA & PCC request and SA by March/April didn't hear anything from CIC until August 29th, 2017, while other applicants from their respective months were getting DMs and PPRs and in some cases even landing. And now it seems like there will be another 1-2 months wait to hear from CIC after they got their DMs while other VOs take less than 2 weeks' time between DM and PPR (as per the consolidated spreadsheet). And most of these are straightforward cases without major red flags. I know there's nothing much we as applicants can do other than wait to hear from CIC and wonder what is going on without our applications. That's why we come to forums like this. Sometime to ask specific questions that we may have, but also to just discuss what is going on with our application with others in the same VO or same month as us. Just that- discuss and share our thoughts.
