Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi guys! What would you suggest po? Paper based application or online application? For January 2018 intake na po ako (thrilling, I know). Pero try ko pa rin!

Doesnt matter. Sa paper base may magcheck lang ng completeness ng application mo.

To enter you need a student visa (a kind of visa) to stay in Canada you need a student permit. They only give student permit at the port of entry so to reach the port of entry (board the place) they give you a student visa.
TRV (a.k.a. a visitors visa) is a visa for a visitor and Work Visa is a visa for worker (later work permit).

Thank you as always. Just confusing myself I guess. I just thought they^ll stick two visas on your passport. One for study and one for TRV. I used to have a Canadian Tourist Visa kc but it expired last June. Thats why im praning lng haha.

Paperbased ako. I suggest ipasa mo na. August 2 to October 2 inabot application ko but of course it was worth the wait kahit kaka praning. January 2018 din ako.

Pag regular stream po, optional ang IELTs, pay the required deposit fee ng school to get LOA, processing time is mahaba2 usually 6 - 8 weeks depending on the processing time reflected sa CIC at maraming documents po. While SDS you have to pay 1 year full tuition fee, required ang IELTs, you have to purchase $10,000 CAD GIC, medyo less documents and mas madali processing which cost 30 days only as per CIC po.

Affidavit of Support from my Father - ng search lang ako ng format at ako yong gumawa, pinasign at pinanotarized ko sa notary public
Summary of Bank Accounts, Investments, and Properties of my parents (printed out)
Bank Certificates per account
6 months Bank Statements per account
Certification Letter from my fathers' Insurance
Car and Land Properties – Photocopies only

Proof of ties Home Country: (Optional)
Parent’s Marriage Certificate – Certified True copy
Mothers’ Death Certificate – certified true copy

Note: As per VFS, photocopy lang po lahat no need to submit certified true copy of your credentials.

Brief Background of my application:
I plan to take up Instrumentation Engineering Technology sa Northern Alberta Institue of Technology (NAIT) this Winter 2018. I just paid the registration fee and tuition down payment of the school to get the LOA. Currently employed as an MEPF Engineer and a graduate of BS Mechanical Engineer last October 2011. I was never been out of the Philippines, so wala po akong travel history.

Welcome po. Hi j3m24, bilis bilisan mo na po pag apply sa NAIT sir kasi ussually yong mga program nila full na pag nasa 3-4 months nlang po bago mag simula ang class. Inquire ka muna sa school sir kung available pa yong program pra di masayang ang application fee mo at pra di ka rin mailagay sa waitlist. Sa dowpayment to get LOA is $1,000 CAD po. Yong bank statement po is enatach ko lang po yong sa parents na accounts ko around 2M pesos ata lahat sir since esponsor po nila ako

Hi, I am a fresh graduate of BSHRM here in the Philippines and I'm interested to study in Canada because I want to settle there for good. I don't have a family there but my parents are willing to fund me if it's a good investment.
Can someone help where do I start. I read up online (still confused) and asked one of my friends who is currently studying in Australia now who told me that she managed to process her application only for a month with the help of IDP Education. But I personally wanted to know more from those filipino students who is actually studying in Canada rather than just ask a counselor in IDP. There's an EduCanada fair going on right now here and I'm planning to go there tomorrow although I still want your opinions.
There's also a link that I saw online about preparing to study abroad that I need to apply at least a year in advance and also about the SDS Program. I'm really confused. I hope someone can help me here. Is it really going to take that long to process my application even if there's SDS Program?

Yeah! Waiting lang for LOA but nag pay na ako sa school so probably next week I can lodge my application na. Btw, yung passport ko expires on Oct 2019, and my study duration is 2 years. How will that be po? Hindi naman pwedeng i renew now kasi ang layo pa ng expiry

Dun ka na mgrerenew... san ka ba? If s Vancouver ka meron dun. Ung mom ko dun n lng ngrerenew. Ako kc mabibitin din ng days ung passport expiry so I guess we'll do that dun na.

"Low chance" is already a redflag. I will personally not risk spending a huge sum for a "low chance" of success. Best is to know what school they are offering to you and find out if that school is private or public. If you back read a bit, you'll find out that there is a reason bakit mas mura si private, kasi mas malaki chance na di qualify magka pgwp after.

just choose a public school, they will also assist you with your coop work permit if needed and PGWP

sir may I ask na din po kung ano difference ng DLI Private compare sa Public funded ba DLI? is it cheaper compare to Private when it comes to processing of papers?
