This wait is tantamount to torture.....can't even say i'm sitting pretty but i'm at 419 and would really love to get that golden ticket by December because come January I will be loosing 5 points....so either I get an ITA or OINP reopens.I hop everyone will stay motivated man I cant thank you guys enough though I don't post as often.

@the seniors in the group quick question....Is it safe to elect NOC1111 since I don't have reciprocal membership in CPA Canada, however, I am a US CPA and is a Chartered Accountant in my home country (Not the US). Do I really need secure licensure before I can apply to OINP or EE?

I have researched the process to gain reciprocal membership with CPA Canada and I would need to do at least three Canadian courses and I should be fine because there is a mutual recognition agreement between Canada and the US, however, I thought it would be wise to hold off pursuing those courses until i at least get the PR in hand. I mean I anticipate working in the field, however, I don't necessarily have to go in Public Accounting right away until the licensing issue is resolved.

Your feedback is anticipated! I would also love for any other Internationally trained Accountant in the group to share their experience throughout the application process with OINP/EE.

Additionally, how do you satisfy the "Intent to reside" criterion in respect of OINP?

Thanks in advance!
You dont need to demonstrate that you meet the employment requirements for canada if you are applying under foreign work exp. All you need is a CIC format work exp letter with duties and responsibilities as long as your exp is under NOC O, A, B you are good to chose any you dont need to show that you were qualified for that except for doctors and lawyers ofcourse.

So why can't CIC allow us to use two or more ielts scores, allowing us to pick the best score in each module from any of the scores ? Can we begin a sort of petition to this? We should also be suggesting to CIC...ways of improving the CRS calculator!

I'm starting to get nervous now, sitting at an estimated 441 and waiting hopelessly for WES to get its act together. What are the chances that the cutoff will exceed the 440 threshold?

I know an applicant who was rejected for US pcc although he clearly stated in loe and uploaded all the proofs of PCC application
The irony is he did raise cse and uploaded after a week of AOR but after 12 days his application was rejected
The cse didnt even reach and the decision was made as cancelled due to incompleteness
So better to decline ITA and wait for a new ITA if you have a good score;)
From your story it is not clear, when the LOE was uploaded. If it was done before he sent out his application and he did upload all correct documents with it (application of PCC, LOE with explanation of the long PCC leadtime), then he could have asked for his file to be reopened.

If however he forgot and then he rushed to upload LOE with CSE option, he would be rejected fast.

You need to fire this lawyer immediately, all these information are wrong.
Here is why:
1. You can't claim more than 30 hours per week even if you work 100 hours per week.
2. What happened is that the CIC system uses months and years to calculate work experience. This is why you were awarded points for 2 years automatically although you have only 1 year and 11 months.
In this case, you have to decline the ITA and wait to complete 2 years, then you can sefely accept the next one.
Thank you for the reply.
How about waiting for a month to complete 2 years work experience and then applying for PR using the same invitation?
Also how old police clearance certificate is acceptable by IRCC? I have 4 months old police certificate, can I use it or I should make new police certificates?

I thought the clock stopped when you get your ITA. I could be wrong though.

The cic newsletter has interesting words that we anticipate:-

IRCC is due to announce its immigration levels plan for the coming year within the next few weeks, in which the department is expected to reveal the target number of immigrants to arrive under the various immigration programs, including the programs managed under Express Entry. The Minister of Immigration, Ahmed Hussen, earlier this year stated that the current overall target of 300,000 new immigrants annually will form the ‘baseline’ target over the coming years. Just how many of these newcomers will arrive through Express Entry remains to be seen. A higher target for Express Entry programs would result in either larger and/or more frequent draws, thereby contributing to a possible decrease in CRS thresholds over time.

during eligibility check , the case officer checks your CRS points 'on that day' vs ITA points issued, if he finds any variance( less than ITA) , there is a chance to get refused.. getting refused is fine, but if you get any 'misrepresentation' then it is more trouble.. i would decline ITA and wait for next draw, since i know for sure i get additional points..

regarding PCC ,
if you lived in country cumulatively more than 6 months, and you are of that country now.. PCC received after you leave the country is valid forever.. ( but if you make a visit again, even one day, then new PCC is required )

If you are applying from a country currently residing on, PCC should be within 6 months at time while submitting application.. ( after ITA)

Hello everyone,

I received ITA in the EE draw held on 4th October. I have applied through lawyer due to company policy and I have no access to my online account.

So the detail is that my CRS score was 430 with 1 years work experience in Canada. Next month my work experience will become 2 years and my score will become 441 but today my lawyer informed me that i received ITA and he sent me the ITA in which my CRS score was 441. Now when I asked lawyer that how come that happened? He replied me that IRCC calculates the experience as 30hour/week and 1560 hours as a year and I am working as 37 hours per week so for 2 years according to IRCC they consider 1560*2=3120 hours as two years but as I was working 37hours per week I have already done more than 3120 hours so IRCC considered my experience as 2 years and automatically updated my score as 441. So my question is that Is this true? Does IRCC system automatically updated the CRS score if your experience increases? waiting for your replies. Thank You
You can safely fire your lawyer now. Please share the lawyer details as well since it will help others here.

CIC will not calculate more than 30hrs/week for anyone. So you can reject the ITA which you received now since you are Ineligible to receive the same. If the CIC finds out that you accepted an ITA which was not truly yours due to some technical issue or what not, they might reject your PR App with Misrepresentation being the reason. Hope you understand the situation.

Good luck.
