Is anyone else (PA or Sponsor for outland sponsorship) pregnant? If so; what is your plan for how to obtain your new baby's Canadian citizenship in time to immigrate if / when your application is approved. Obviously the unborn baby couldn't be on the application...

You need to provide a bit more info. Will the child be born a Canadian citizen? Are you asking about proof of citizenship?

I am a Canadian, living in the US; therefore this baby is eligible for Canadian citizenship but will be born an American. When we went through the process with our firstborn we had to first apply for his US passport so he had photo ID. Then we applied for his proof of Canadian citizenship, then we got his Canadian passport. The whole process took about 6-8 months, and I think we will be ready (everyone else) to immigrate before that. Wondering if there is anything that can be done with the application or another route to make it go faster so the baby has the right paperwork (ie. I read somewhere about a limited validity passport and wondering if the baby would be eligible for that)

Your child will be born both a Canadian and an American citizen, not someone who is "eligible for Canadian citizenship".

You can apply concurrently for the child's Certificate of Citizenship and a limited validity Canadian passport.

I guess what I meant was that we still have to apply for the document to prove it.
I wasn't sure if you had to actually have a flight itinerary in order to qualify for the limited validity passport. (Also - do you know if you actually need the photo ID in order to apply for those....If we could forego the US passport step we would)

If you need the passport urgently, then proof of travel is required.

Photo ID is not required for the passport app but it is a requirement on the checklist for the Certificate of Citizenship app.

But as far as you know, this whole process is still required (certificate of citizenship & passport application)....There is nothing that can be done through the application to "add the baby" midway?

If your baby will have Canadian citizenship they cannot be added to a permanent residency application because they are not eligible for permanent residence. You would add your baby to the application only if they were not going to have claim to citizenship.
