I've read in several threads that some of you emailed Ottawa (unsure) to get information on the file as in where it's processed? Can you let me know why that is done? What would represent an optimistic answer and what wouldn't?
And if so what's the email address and format to send? I tried looking the forum but can't find what I need.
Thanks

You can see the format in all monthly AOR threads.. it's the first post in that.

And, the reason behind doing it.. rightly explained by @Wandering Mind in one of her posts... check this..

What's your timeline n current status?
I dont alwyas check monthly AOR threads as they tend to stress me out, whether people who got their PPR real fast or those faving problems. Im at meds passed, RPRF requested and paid and no additional documents needed since september 8. Weirdly enough i was patient and relaxed through the entire process taking it ine step at a time and now these past few days i've been stressing like crazy

I guess it's like i suspected. No real "benefit" from knowing. Back to waiting!

You are stressed out for no reason. You are done with everything. It's just a matter of time for you right now.
There are a lot of people still waiting in their Meds passed stage...
The maximum average time to PPR after IP2 is 15-20 days... just relax and wait for that email..

Just to clear this scenario.. check your Junk/Spam... there are cases where people missed out their PPR email due to this...

Cheers :) Congratulations and Good luck :)

Really! I'm on IP2 since 16 days! VO is Ottawa, i found out five days ago. Will my file be transferred to local VO or finalized at Ottawa?

In most of the cases it gets processed there itself... Transferring to local visa office happens mostly if they need something else to be checked.. or if there were any previous visa rejections etc..

Good luck :)

I decided to send that email just to get a clear idea. Can I also ask them in the email if they actually received my RPRF payment receipts or do I do that in another way?

You can just write the Visa office question and ask them the status of your application... that should do it...
